Tieflings vs Aasimars.... insinctive revulsion.

Unread post by NegInfinity »

Citation from planar handbook...
Aasimars, bariaurs, and wildren often trigger instinctive fear or revulsion in tieflings, making it difficult for them to work together at all.
As I understand it, this means that tieflings somehow "feel" celestial heritage, which triggers negative reaction.

I.e. if tiefling A meets non-obvious aasimar B, then A is very likely to feel dislike towards B, even without knowing B's race.

Is this correct?

No and there's no grounds to metagame either. If you know the person is a Tiefling/Aasimar in-character you may RP a discomfort or mistrust of them but what you don't know can't hurt you. And what your characters don't know they can't gain by any supernatural means except under the direct supervision of a DM.

Hmm... okay, no more questions about that.
