I plan to keep the plot fairly simple, he will be tasked with finding items that were stolen in the raid on the island where he lived.

I have given some though to what classes he will take. I a comfortable with him taking the Master Alchemist PRC. I don’t think it is too much of a stretch to think that clerics that can brew potions can just an easy further this skill and become a Master Alchemist.

I see things the same way. It should easilynRPd and accepted that the Master Alchemist is using reagents to perform his craft. Gond fits well with it in my opinion.

master alchemist doesnt only brew potions

craf alchemy is not equal magic... read the skill info for gods sake...
