Hello! My name is Kaeco Clearwater, I am a Halfling woman who is nearly of age that is already out on her own. I am also a minstrel – or aspiring one at any rate – who works very hard to be able to be a good musician. I got this journal on a whim when I arrived in Baulders Gate, figuring I should keep track of the things that happen to me for whatever posterity I end up having, because A LOT of things keep happening to me and I almost wish it would all stop sometimes.

Since arriving in the city I have discovered that life is a very fragile thing and can be extinguished in a moment, or thrown away in the pursuit of evil things. For instance I met a gnomish banite, a gnome! Of all the little creatures in this world why would a gnome follow bane?! The poor thing was executed for crimes he committed by vigilantes so I suppose justice as served, but is till feel bad about the whole thing…I said a prayer to Yondalla and Cyrolalle that his soul be taken care of.

Also a very nice man whose name now escapes me has blessed me with a bunch of instruments! I cannot possibly use all of these so perhaps I shall pass a few on, but for now I am learning to play the Bandor! That is it for now I suppose. I shall make more entries as exciting things happen to me, which if the current trend continues will be often.
