Re: Meeting of Nature's Faithful Deux

Dear Faithful,
All are invited to the Meeting of the Faithful this week, where we will discuss things that concern the forest. This week there might also be some planning for a special task for the faithful as well and I encourage everybody to come help out.

// Big thanks to DM Eminence for helping the faithful perform the Song of the Trees. Literally one of the best events I've been in in my three years here. I'll be interested to hear if there is any follow up.

Re: Meeting of Nature's Faithful Deux
Aftermath of the Song of the Trees event,
As the Faithful make their way to the woodcutters' hamlet, it turns out that it barely even deserves that name. Willowdale is a cluster of wooden houses at the foot of a dale, with a small stream running near. A weeping willow tree looks about to topple over into the stream.
Children who should be helping their families with chores run after the Faithful, at a distance with big curious eyes. As the Faithful make their way over to Berke's family, they notice that a new wooden house is being built and timber is being used heavily for furnishing and fencework around the farmlands and cattle. An old man sits on a stool outside one of the houses they pass, carving a piece of wood which looks to be a child's toy. He pauses in his work and gives the Faithful a toothless smile.
As they approach Berke and his sons, Trevor and Willis, they are invited in to share a simple meal consisting of vegetable stew and bread. Other men of the village join them around a crowded table. Over its course they are told that the men have come to decide to take up on the Faithful's offer. They'll learn to live in better harmony as best as they can, under the Faithful's watchful eyes. A forest closer to their home, for the generations to come, was desirable. It saved time and made the journey less perilous, as all kinds of things preyed on the easy hunting grounds that the roads had become. One of the men who introduced himself as Rolf, said he lost his son and a nephew recently. Nothing was found of them and the horse except for the cart, some equipment a few paces away from it, and stains of blood. There was uncertainty among the men if the blood was the horse's or not. A respectful silence followed before talk went back to more pleasant topics.
The Faithful were offered lodging for the night if they so wished. What was clear to all the Faithful was that the work in the forest would show slow progress. Seeds and saplings grow slowly. Will the humans be patient and forage more carefully, or will they over generations forget what their ancestors decided..?
// Unfortunately I missed the last Faithful meeting and there was none till tomorrow. Apologies to those who went the past weeks wondering what happened. I've written the summary above with respects to not control any of your characters in order to get a disclosure to the course of actions you decided. If you want answers to specific questions or have any thoughts, you can PM me. I won't continue with the hamlet aspect itself but some characters may be re-occurring if you are interested in further small adventures.

Re: Meeting of Nature's Faithful Deux
In various inns around the Swordcoast there can be seen flyers made out of leaves with the following text written on it:
"Hello rangers and followers of nature,
if you are new to the area or you are looking for like-minded people in this region, I will offer you my help. Leave a note for "Vendor Xon" at the Friendly Arm Inn. You also can meet me and other followers of nature every seventh day at the Meeting of Nature's Faithful near the Shrine of Mielikki. I look forward to meet with you. I can show you around or teach you about land and nature.
Vendor Xon Forester of the Gate."
///The Meeting of Nature's Faithful starts every Friday at 10 pm gmt. If you are interested please send me a ic pm, come and visit the meeting or post either in the "Elder Circle Role-Play" or here.

Re: Meeting of Nature's Faithful Deux
A simple flyer would go up on a few tavern walls, and the notice board in Baldur's Gate.
The Third Feast
Come one, come all to join Nature's Faithful for the Third Feast, four days from now. The feast will be held at Eldath's Shrine in the Reaching Woods, one of the most peaceful places on the Sword Coast. An evening of relaxation, food, and song will be had by all. For those seeking escort to the forest, find Endelyon, the bardess in blue, in the Eastern Farmlands in the hours leading up to the Feast. She will be helping pilgrims reach the shrine safely.
(( OOC: The Third Feast will be held 9/23, starting at 5:00PM CST / 10:00PM GMT ))
