Background:
Ayako comes from the area of Kara-Tur which lies east of Faerûn on Toril. She is from Kozakura an archipelago nation composed of four large islands and dozens of smaller ones. (based on the shogun era of Japan)
Kozakura has many factions vying for power. One such faction came to Ayako’s village, trying to make claim on the village, but the village elder refused to give control to any faction. Soon thereafter ruthless ninja were sent to burn the village to the ground and kill all the people while they were sleeping. Most villagers died and had no means to defend themselves. Ayako and her father fought on for hours before her father succumbed to his wounds and could not continue any longer. Fumitaka gave his mysterious katana to his daughter and convinces her to run away…far away. So she does….
Ayako escapes and buys passage on a ship bound for Shou. (based on China) She spends over two years hiding and being further trained by monks in a mountain temple. She was trained in combat techniques and strategy. Soon though, the Yakuza found where she was hiding. She once again ran away, now believing that her father didn’t tell her everything about his past.
Ayako has now been living on The Sword Coast now for well over a year and has adapted to life surprisingly easy. She has made both friends and foes. After listening, researching and learning of the many different gods in these lands, Ayako has finally found one that matches her ideals and own teachings very well, Helm.
-Find a safe place far away from the prying eyes of the shugo-daimyo’s agents. Though seemingly impossible at the moment, learn of her father’s secret past. Most importantly at the moment is to find friends and learn to blend in better, in this new land.

-Ayako could go back to Kozakua to find out about her father’s past and/or kill the shugo-daimyo. She may finally be rid of the shugo-daimyo’s agents and find peace in this new land, exploring, treasure hunting and meeting new people.
