Another speach by Israe'anna Xilaben

Unread post by Israe »

*Israe'anna hops upon crates in the middle of the market, speaking loudly*

Now people! These rumors of Xilaben, and I are hilarious to me! Who here remembers a day when assassinations were carried out appropriately, and not followed by rumors thats advertised the failure of the assassins! I find this hilarious that once again, Dev'lin has proven themselves incompetent. I ran them for laps! By the way, ask their males how my fist felt against their nose.

I didn't even offer the cowards the glory of any real weapons to use against them, delivering them blows before I decided to leave the pathetic attempt on my life. Let it be known, that Dev'lin can call me out -any- time! Or my Qu'El'Saruk! You should see the males of Dev'lin as they shrink in the shadow of the mighty Radoseth! I say let Dev'lin speak their rumors directly to me, there are no shadows to hide in. Perhaps before this botched attempt of theirs to act truely in the ways of Illythiir there were, yet now I don't even see it as a remote possibility. Let the next head that adorns a stake speak volumes for the quality of Dev'lin! Let Lolth once again decide who her truely favored are! Lolth tlu Malla!

Qilintha watches in the distance, once again amused by Israe'anna's attempt to deny her failures. She glances towards Ril'vyr, smirking.

"Yes, she indeed ran laps... Away from us after trying to capture one of our males. Not even the 'Ilharess' of this so called Qu'ellar can manage a simple task without being chased off screaming like the lowly jalil she is."
Qilintha Dev'lin Ilharess "All great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds."
Rose Valexe Songstress "Aspire to inspire before we expire."

Tarin Urd'nei walks by showing a group of apprentices and hopefuls around. They stop by the gathering and once Israe'anna is done talking, he turns to his group speaking in drow, but can be heard by other gathered:

And so you see, how far have the Lolthites fallen from the ways of the drow. - he narrows his eyes - They speak of courage, strength, dueling, fair play and not trickery, plots, scheming, spinning webs and planting traps like their goddess would have taught them. They ridicule withdrawal to positions of ambush. Strength and brute force is the way of the orcs, the lowly slaves. Honour is the means of the humans, the inferior race. Yet in the end both sides lack power to actually obtain their goals. You will be evaluated on power and means of achieving results.

We strike from the shadows, hit hard and fast and be gone before the dust sets. They flap their gums for countless cycles now and are still in square one.

Let us go. This is no place for a man of my stature to be in. Let the half-orc fools fight it out who is a superior house. For in the end, what they achieve is. . . Nothing!

The group then moves on...
Cake is a lie, there are only donuts
Through donuts, I gain happiness
Through happiness, I gain calories
Through calories, i gain fat
Through fat, my chains are broken
The donuts shall free me

Tarr'olog would hear this as he was using some time at the market, as her speech ends he simply sighs

"See... this is why i avoid lunatics."

He would then continue with his business as if nothing happened.

Dilarra watches and considers the speech and the alusions to recent events in the underwilds.

She feels sour and frustrated that she missed out at being present at the events and battle in question, as there is no entertainment in the Underdark quite like open war between Qu'ellars, but at the same time, they can be quite frustrating and boring when allowed to be drawn out too long.

Mostly, she wonders who this Quel'saruk Radoseth is and at his ability. Most decidedly Dilarra realizes she wishes to see this Radoseth in a dual. There is nothing quite like taking out a local weaponsmaster in terms of gaining a reputation that can be profitable, however Dilarra has not been given orders to spread the fear of Zau'afin or it's power, and thus, she must remain tame and reserved.

Dilarra realizes that Zau'afin is likely not interested in Sshamath. They are probably focused on consolidating their power in Sschyndryln or perhaps Maermydra. In truth, the welcome respite from constant conflict is welcome. However, where is her old allie Izz'orgoll? Only recently she found Nimenaar. Things are at least tolerable when the unruly Jaluks are about. They are always getting themselves into some kind of trouble or wonderfully making a stir amongst the more arrogant females.

your gates of sparkling jewels,
and all your walls of precious stones.
