Re: Rumors of Baldur's Gate
As of late, several inhabitants of the Palace District have been noticing a new face among them. Every morning a young man can be seen taking a stroll from the Helm and Cloak to several manors of the city's more influential Houses.
People would describe the young man as average-sized, with long black hair bound in a neat pony-tail. He wears expensive clothing and is mannerism suggests a high level of education.
The young man appears to be friendly and approachable.

Re: Rumors of Baldur's Gate
*An advertisement is posted in public areas throughout the Sword Coast, except for Nashkel*
"A Helmite Pilgrimage to the Holy Town of Nashkel
A pilgrimage to the Helmite Holy Town of Nashkel sponsored and protected by the Everwatch Knights of Helm will likely be leaving from Baldur's Gate at least once every tenday over the next few months. There is no cost to participate, but donations to the Church of Helm by participants are much appreciated.
If you wish to see the site where the God of Guardians came down to Toril to watch over the realm in an hour of dire need, please leave a note for Paladin of Helm and Head Watchknight Wai Li at the Temple of the Shield in Baldur's Gate."

Re: Rumors of Baldur's Gate
As of late people who frequent the undead infested graveyard outside of Baldur's Gate speak of a woman robed and hooded in grey clothing wandering amonst the gravestones and crypts.
Occasionally the woman would clutch an obscured amulet in one hand and a wave of energy would pass through nearby undead, who quite suddenly march back to their disturbed graves and calmly lie down into their familiar resting place.
Each grave thus inhabited the woman can be seen shoveling dirt back ontop until they look as undisturbed as before.
To each headstone is added a small symbol painted in white.

Re: Rumors of Baldur's Gate
As rumors spread of the northern bandits of the also-captured Dan, The Bandit Lord brought back by the Everwatch Knights of Helm, other Helmites, and their allies for justice in Baldur's Gate, additional chatter in the city spreads of how the bandits were apprehended. Before leaving to pursue these bandits, the group was seen entering and leaving the Flaming Fist headquarters in the Dock District, supposedly to interview a previously captured northern bandit for intelligence on the location of the Bandit Lord's den. Some seem surprised that so many bandits were captured and brought back for the law to judge as opposed to being killed in the raid against the bandits.

The Helmites, Everwatch Knights, and their allies that were Dan's continual foes over these past months seem relieved that the hunt for Dan is now over and Farhill secure and somewhat gloomy that in the end it was not Dan that was the greatest evil in his bandit gang, but rather it was the foul blood magus and necromancer allies he recruited to his ranks that seemed to make even the Bandit Lord morally queasy.

Re: Rumors of Baldur's Gate
A sun tanned Mealir is seen walking on the docks of Baldur's Gate for the first time in months, taking few breaks he spends his time detailing a story. Within the docks he can be heard singing, on and on, days and evenings in the taverns.
Greetings good folks of Baldur's Gate !
Do you remember me, do you know who I am ?
Ask around ! Mealir Ostirel is my name, and from the Whistling Wanderess I am the capitain. A capitain without his ship ? Where is she would you ask me ?!
That is the story, another story of the Flute of many holes, a new chapter to add to the legend. Ladies good folks... others ! The Whistling Wanderess has the Flute, we have the rings we could play it...
Yet I can not ! Yet today for your ears I only have a lute !
Mealir would strum a few strings idly, without conviction.
I tell you .. the Flute of Many rings differently. And what is between the Flute and your ears are greedy, ready clutches .. greedy clutches who guard the path to Baldur's Gate harbor against the Wanderess. Hear me good folks !

Mealir would begin to sing, accompanying it with the lute.
These long prying hands know where I belong
Baldur's Gate ! I ask you to come along !
Where long ago Ulgoth preyed upon us
In a tenday I want to hear them cuss
Swear ! As your masts come thick as a forest
When the Flute soars will their loss be sorest
No combat, no duress for your good help
Only joy, beer and songs for that last skelp
For her return, the Whistling Wanderess
My generosity you will witness

Good folks, in a tenday be there, at the Chionthar, the Wanderess will come and those thieving rats won't act if you come numerous ! I'll be generous.. and you'll get to hear the legend itself !

Re: Rumors of Baldur's Gate
Since most of the Mirari troupe has disapperared, Nikos Berenicus is still wandering the streets of Baldurs Gate. If he isnt reminescing the days, when the Mirari performed on these very streets, he can been seen trading with the merchants in the city. Always on the look out for artists of every aspect, or who knows... even an old Mirari

27th of Flamerule, DR 1350
Arriving by ship at the docks near midday, the Morninglord Tolan is seen stepping off the ship and moving to meet with three of his friends. Together they make their way to another part of the docks and boards another ship sailing north. To the observant eye, the Morninglord Tolan appeared both apphensive and timid.

Re: Rumors of Baldur's Gate
With startlingly fast distribution, parchment flyers begin to circulate in the largely populated areas of the Sword Coast. Over the following tenday from Baldur's Gate to Nashkel, they begin to crop up on notice boards, trees, anywhere it might be seen publicly. Couriers are seen knocking on doors of various factions and Orders, rolls of parchment in hand. As the days pass smaller towns, roads and sign posts bare the same news.

Re: Rumors of Baldur's Gate
Two Helmite Everwatch Knights, Drew Latonar and Wai Li, were seen recently entering and exiting the Flaming Fist Headquarters compound in Baldur's Gate. They entered with a tense look about them and when they exited, they appeared somewhat relieved. They spoke afterward of thinking it likely that at least some of the recent bandits they had helped to apprehend in the north might be shown reasonable mercy by the Dukes as opposed to being promptly hung on the gallows. Apparently, a personal anecdote of the Helmites may have ultimately moved the outcome against blanket executions of all of the bandits as well as a suggestion to create an impounded worker program and an offer to compensate the city for the care of the living inmates.

Re: Rumors of Baldur's Gate
Two armored members of the Radiant Heart are seen heading toward the Flaming Fist Headquarters from the South, citizens within the Gate whispering and murmuring to each other as they pass. Rumor quickly spreads that the male of the two seemed to have been clapped in irons and led by a solemn faced female paladin with a purple cloak.DMogorgon wrote:Strange weather accosted the Eastern Farmlands of Baldur's Gate. There are rumors of some sort of confrontation near the Mercy Orphanage, along with an occasional whisper of drow. The Flaming Fist seemed to arrive too late to witness any altercation.
Several adventurers and Members of the Radiant Heart were seen escorting a small group of sickly and malnourished humanoids in rags from the farmlands south of the bridge crossing the river. There, they remain in a makeshift camp setup just south of the river.

The camp is abuzz with healing activity. Druids, scholars of Candlekeep, and Ilmateri work hard for the sick, and food and medical supplies are delivered by merchants.DMogorgon wrote: Several adventurers and Members of the Radiant Heart were seen escorting a small group of sickly and malnourished humanoids in rags from the farmlands south of the bridge crossing the river. A blue robed Mage bearing the regalia of Candlekeep upon his tunic would be noticed spending a few hours caring for the ill men and women held at the makeshift camp. He would be seen making pleasant conversation with each, providing salves and poultices to the more wounded and ill. He would be seen taking samples of saliva and blood from a woman whom exhibited signs of disease, and after a short and hushed conversation with two Ilmateri Caregivers he would travel south.

Re: Rumors of Baldur's Gate
One of the Ilmateri priests is seen heading north to the city with haste. He returns several hours later in a foul mood, accompanied by a hooded warrior of faith. They continue treating the sick; being joined after a time by a female priestess in grey. Tension is noted between the two clergy, although matters remain cordial as further treatment is concluded.
