(((OOC The DMs were made aware I was publishing this.
(((OOC on the flip side, your faction has already published information in that same event. Your asking for something to not be IC when your faction is RPing that it is IC on the forums already.

A dark figure scoured the lands, walking mile after mile in search of each and every poster that could be found. On each located, the same message is neatly written beneath the original text...

Following the death of an unknown dwarven man, the Song of the Morning temple begins to spread word of his passing. It is their hopes that the dwarf's family or clan will hear word of his death, and come to collect the body for appropriate burial. For the time being, his body has been blessed and interred with the temple.

Despite the sad news on the day of the ball, young Eleanore is seen carrying freshly baked goods from the temple to the manor as well as huge and colorful flower arrangements that are nearly as big as her. She offers everyone she passes a bright smile and even stops to give a couple of children some chocolates.

Last evening a couple of golden haired elven ladies, a dusky skinned half-elf lass with silvery hair, and a darkly clad human male were sitting at a table at the Risen Phoenix as the tavern door opened, letting in a blast of cool autumn air.

Looking up from her conversation, the half-elf blinked in surprise as an orc entered the tavern.

As the bar went silent, one of the elven ladies stared at the orc in abject horror, the other openly sneered, while the human male's hands slowly drifted from the table towards his lap.

The half-elf rose from her seat and carefully approached the orc where she spoke in a low urgent whisper.

The orc responded by pointing to the innkeeper.

The half-elf spoke again quietly, after which the the orc lets out a long huff and made his way for the door, knocking over a few chairs on his way out.

Things began to return to normal , when tavern patrons at a table near the stairs started arguing which soon escalated into a brawl involving two men, a dwarf, and the half-elven lass.

Afterwards, the half-elf bought a round of drinks for the tavern and sang elven song prayers, which bathed the injured in a silvery light as it healed their wounds.

Bright and early Eleanore does her rounds in Beregost, handing a freshly baked muffin here and there before making her way to Angelina's house and bringing her five beautiful and flavorful apple pies as promised.

As the first rays of light gently fall upon the Song of the Morning, a trio is seen quietly conversing with Kelddath Ormlyr in the main part of the temple.

After a time the Most Radiant shoos them on their way good-naturedly and the three step out into the chilled rain of daybreak as they enter the streets of Beregost.

Curious early risers note that two of the figures are instantly recognizable. One is a knight with a golden cloak known as the Commander Eldarian Al’maire. The other is a blonde haired woman that goes by the name of Lady Lafayette. The third figure is a curious one, however. Cloaked and hooded, the man’s features aren’t easily identified.

Eyes wander and follow the three as they make their way through the streets, their faces set and determined on a particular goal. They are seen knocking on numerous doors and confronting those within before being let inside for private conversations.

Late evening falls upon the town as the last of the sun’s rays slink away to find their peaceful slumber. Rumors circulate that after the town cascades into darkness, the cloaked-and-hooded man breaks from the knightly types, and is seen heading north. The other two move into the center of town, only to knock on a peculiar house, one that no longer holds residence.

Word is sketchy between rumor-mongers after that. Some say the two knights did not leave the house after entering. Others state they saw them hurry back to the Song of the Morning as soon as the knock on the door had been left unanswered.

One thing is certain, however.

Something brews in Beregost.

Rain or shine for the next week Eleanore is seen just outside the church shooting at a homemade target of a goblin. She spends many hours out there practicing when she is not busy with other tasks such as making her rounds around the city, helping folks here and there as well as handing out her usual baked goods to anyone in need.

Darkness had blanketed Beregost hours ago in its embrace and the chilled rain had followed soon after.

A lone figure swept through the sleeping streets of the town, his expression heavy and pensive. A golden cloak fluttered behind the tall figure and an equally golden hood covered his features from the biting kiss of rainfall. Every breath he wrought was greeted with a white wisp of air that soon scattered upon the wind.

The conditions did little to dim his determination or stride, however. Heavy footfalls had taken him to the outskirts of the township and to the stables where two Templars sat obediently upon their horses, even amidst the rain and wind and bitter promise of an uncertain future for them both.

There is nothing said among the man and the first Templar, only an understanding gaze shared between them. The cloaked man hands over an object to the rider and gives a swift nod. The rider clicks his tongue and turns his horse north before being lost in the darkness.

The golden-cloaked man then moves to the second Templar and hands over an object to him as well. This time, however, words ring out in the darkness between them; loud and unforgiving to the relative quiet of the night.

Be careful, Templar. That which you carry means much. Do not let it fall into the wrong hands. Know, should your life turn forfeit, you will be praised among our men for doing your duty."

The Templar dips his head to the man, one fist to his heart in respect. Even the threat of death couldn’t take that away.

"Ride, Templar. Ride as if your life depended on it." The man on the ground bellows before a harsh smack finds the horse’s hindquarters.

The horse rears into action and then begins racing south, hooves stomping loudly on the cobblestones as it makes its way out of town.

Eldarian watches the figure until the last thing he can hear is the soft pitter-patter of rain surrounding him. . .

. . .and the ringing of freedom in his ears.

During the day, Morninglord Tolan is seen walking the streets of Beregost. With him he brings a small brown leather bag. He makes a stop at each house, knocking on the door and explaining the reason for his visit.

Image

"Greetings kind sir/madam, may I trouble you for a brief moment on behalf of the poor of Beregost? You see, I am collecting donations for the poor souls of Beregost who have no place to live, and rarely enjoy a warm meal. If you could spare but a few coins or discarded clothes, it would mean so much."

Image

Everywhere he visits, Tolan offers his blessings, even to those whom do not donate to the cause. In a few cases he also spends an extended stay to assist with healing minor wounds and other ailments.

Image

At the end of his rounds, Tolan carries with him a heavy purse of coin, though not as heavy as he had hoped. The bundle of old clothes draped over his arm, however, brings a smile to his lips.

Image

After bringing the clothes to the temple to be washed and patched up for later hand-out to the poor of Beregost, Tolan makes his way to the local street vendor. Here he spends the donated coins on fruits and a few medicinal herbs, primarily aloe vera leaves.

Image

The fruit and medicinal herbs are taken to the temple as well, where they will be arranged into pouches and baskets of equal size, to be delivered among the poor the following day along with the cleaned and patched clothes.

*A note is presented to the mayor of Beregost informing them of a Necromancer that was found raising an undead army of Xvart and adventurers alike in the nearby Xvart village. The tale is told that though defeated it is unlikely that the gnome sized necromancer is truly destroyed. A similar tale is told to the Priest in the temple of Lathander.*

A Templar is seen roaming the streets of Beregost, asking after the adventurers that dealt with the necromancer.

His tone is heavy and his features hold a certain sternness to them.
