Re: Rumours of Sshamath
Escherichia may have been seen wandering aimlessly through the underdark tunnels. She seems to be confused and far moodier than usual. After being discovered by Dossa'ceen Dev'lin, she was escorted into the city where she is now insisting to be called "Sokoya" Dev'lin. Dossa'ceen keeps Escherichia close during their time in the city as he purchases a few tents, bedrolls, and various other items. He then quickly leads Escherichia from the city and deep into the tunnels.

The bodies of two jaluken are left laying on the ground outside the duergar compound in the ilithid mines. One has several arrows in it. They both have their own weapons embedded in their own bellies. There is evidence of a third body having been there, but, only scuff marks remain as it had been drug away.

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
The ground shakes, the city fills with smoke. A face of blood is painted on the city streets, and a ghostly being leads several curious onlookers out of the city.
Once out of the city, the onlookers are assailed buy monsters and illusionary spells.
After the ghostly being has displayed his powers over those who were too ... curious, he makes one simple demand. Bring me the overmind. You have 7 cycles to deliver it to me.
Pylia looks to the others and after a bit of futile debate over what to do, she returns to the city. The council? The mage schools? The orc outside the city? who do I turn to? who can I tell that would not simply laugh and send me away? She heads to where she -thinks- she may actually find help.

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
A small group of masked individuals led by an ilythiiri jaluk speaking surface common were seen entering Sshamath early this cycle.
The group was led through the city, shown various sites, and ended up spending some time at The Great Elixir, where one of the group squeeled in delighted surprise when she was able to order a pint of Lurien's Best.
It is rumored that a mysterious masked female dressed in simple worn leathers and a brown hooded cloak moved among the Darkwood's poor and infirm, speaking quietly to shebali and slave alike, offering food and healing to those who would accept it.

"Eurgh." The Duergar huffs under his breath as he throws a heavy barrel down by the foundations. "Teh the hells! They be workin' us to tha bone. All fer that hairy legged worshippin' lot" His grubby hands find his waterskin, grinning toothily to his fellow worker. "Ain't wateh!" The Duergars can be heard roaring with laughter, before a gold and black armored male approaches, the laughter is replaced with grunts, the hammering singing its own steady beat once more.
Patrols can be seen around the area of the Misty Lake ensuring the beasts do not disrupt the Duergars work, a few stragglers making it towards the guard posts, the city's soldiers swiftly seeing to them.

Countless numbers of Duergar are found pinned to the walls of the Ilithid mines with arrows, more arrows obviously finding pain centers, while the obvious killing arrows being through their eyes

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
A trail of bodies is seen periodically, about in weekly cycles, from Sshamath slave goblins, to the Mycenoids, and Driders and seems to conclude at the undead crypt. The only comminality is the wedge shapped battle axe slices and the rather direct line of the fallen bodies. Some whispers are said of an angry jalil wielding battleaxes making a bloody scene through the underdark tunnels. When attempts are made at acosting the rather direct drow, she simply vanishes into the shadows.

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
A human female with long, black hair and dressed in a red leather outfit was seen stumbling on the streets of Sshamath. The woman clearly did not know where she was going but the sounds from The Great Elixir drew her attention. After walking towards a table and sitting down, she appeared to lose some of her composure and was visibly shivering, as if troubled and haunted by something. She ordered a bottle of Firewine from the barmaid which she managed to splash all over the table, much to the barmaid's annoyance. A few drow were seen coming and going and as the hours went by, the woman regained some of her colour but still looked quite pale for surface standards. With wine, she also grew more talkative. As company left, she did too and could be seen walking in circles around some of the spires.

*In West Veralla's passage, the so called Ilharess of Xilaben, Israe'anna can be seen, her head impaled on a spike. There is a spiderweb carved on her forehead, with the word 'Quel'saruk' pushed into the flesh of her cheek.*

As people who pass the head of Israe'anna and bring the news into the city, the head does not stay on the spike for long before it is removed. Who or where it was brought to, only those present know.

Re: Rumours of Sshamath
(related to http://www.bgtscc.net/viewtopic.php?p=552401#p552401)
There is talk in Gloura's Wings that last cycle a comely dusky ashen skinned maiden with long silver haired maiden and obviously mixed heritage drawing quite the attention. Dressed in soft bleached leathers, and a silver blade at her side she moved through the tavern with quiet grace and a peaceful calm confidence, despite the whispers and stares of several patrons including a yathrin of the Spider Queen.
Ordering and quickly downing a glass of firewine, the silver tressed maid tuned her mandolin and began by playing a few drinking songs, her voice carrying a thick foreign accent.
At times accompanied by an ilythiiri jaluk, the two played several pieces, gaining the attention of the tavern's many patrons.
After taking a short break for another drink, the maiden re-tuned her mandolin and began playing a slow haunting melancholy tune, her voice heavy with sadness, regret and a subtle anger, and yet beneath it, slowly building an energetic message of hope...

Oh my dark Argent Lady
I have held to you dearly
I had asked you to steer me
'Til one cloud-scattered night...
Lost in self righteous anger,
I stumbled while dancing
Pride blinding understanding
To my sister's troubled plight.

There's the Sword...
And the Song...
And the contempt of The People,
Who say in their pride
They know what's right.
There's the light...
And the dark...
And sad stories with few answers
And a sister I should have helped tonight

In ancient times The People
In imposing hosts they banded
And as Vyshann commanded
Killing storms scorched bare the ground.
And by the Dark Disaster
The People's kindness shattered
And swore eternal hatred
So in darkness were we bound

There's the Sword...
And the Song...
And the vengeance of the Fallen
Who say in bitter hate
Don't trust the light.
There's the light...
And the dark...
And a famine of forgiveness
And a wrong that desp'rately needs set a' right

If your sister or your brother
Were deceived by the Weaver
Could you leave him or leave her
In that tangled web of lies?
In prayer I ask forgiveness
And hope for a fresh chance
To learn love and a new dance
To see things through diff'rent eyes

There's the Sword...
And the Song...
And the Dance of the Maiden
Who says, "Come live in peace in lands of light!"
There's the Dance...
And the Song..
Of The Silver Light in Darkness,
Guiding our path through darkest night

There's the Sword...
And the Song...
And the Mercy of Maiden
Who says, "Come live in peace in lands of light!"
There's the Dance...
And the Song...
And redemption for the Fallen
If we open our hearts to her light
As the maiden sang she began to glow with a very soft pale silvery light, and an almost palpable aura of warm confidence and patient empathy began to spread from her.
When the song was finished. the priestess of the Spider Queen setting her glass down on the table as she looked to the girl, "You have a fine voice, but if you ever sing that song in my presence I will cut out your tongue."
Starring daggers at dusky skinned lass, the priestess rose from her chair and strode towards girl.
"Was that your attempt to mock me? I am Yathrin Irrtana Sshamath, you think because I've let you live in the past I will always be so kind to you?"
Drawing a wicked dagger strode over to maiden, the priestess pressed the blade's point into maidens chest just under her neck.
In a soft steady voice the maiden replies, "Yathrin, it was not my intent to mock you. Only to show that ... our people were wronged deeply by the darthiiri."
Slowly continuing, "The song was of the time before the Descent, when the arrogance and greed of the ar'tel'quessir destroyed an entire nation of dark elves... and green elves... all because they would not bow down to them... and so Miyeritar was destroyed. And the Ilythiiri... well... did what they thought right ... to avenge their sisters and brothers... even calling upon dark gods to do so ... and were cursed for it."
Quietly adding, "I know much about the history of our people"
"Next time choose your songs more careful, its been a little too long since this dagger has carved out a heart."
The priestess presses the dagger a little harder, enough to make a bead of blood drip down the maiden's chest, staining her pale clothing a deep crimson.
"Depending on how long you want to stay alive in this city you might want to be more careful regardless of the things you think you know about my race. not our race you are filth compared to the drow."
"Don't think to compare yourself to one of us!"
The maiden, bows her head respectfully.
"Your advice is wise, and it is true, I am not one of you, but I am descended of T'lindhet."
The maiden stood quietly, bowing again to the priestess who then glared as if were about to kill her, then at everyone in the tavern, turned on her heel and left.
Afterwards the maiden cleaned herself up, had another drink and spoke a while with the jaluk for a time before he also left the tavern.
Alone, she finished her wine before slipping into a back room and returning dressed in well worn hunting leathers. Donning a mask and hooded cloak she then quickly disappeared out into the busy streets and alleys of The City of Dark Weavings.

Maral, the frivolous singer of House Ravenkin was seen today having a lengthy chat with the bartender at tha Spider's Kiss while making inquiries as to a claimed open bill.
He seemed in a cheery mood as always if wearing a somewhat puzzled expression.
Apparently the bartender had little to share on the matter and kept referring to the proprietor, who unfortunately was unavailable at the time.
