The bard was in a sorry state. His companions had dragged him out of the school of mages. Half dead, sick and deprived of parts of his brain he was brought before the Spider altar. There those who he always had feared had tended to his wounds. He let it happen.
It took many cycles for him to regain the strength he had had before but finally the green colour in his face vanished and the needles that seemed to have pierced his brain lost their gleeming hotness. He was calm again. Put on his armour and the insignia of Bregan and left for the wilds.

It is bad when one thing becomes two. One should not look for anything else in the Way of the Samurai. It is the same for anything that is called a Way. If one understands things in this manner, he should be able to hear about all ways and be more and more in accord with his own.
