Classes that increase caster/invoker lvl for warlock
I can seem to find quick answers throuhg search engines on here or google. I dont know why, but finding mechanics on NWN 2 seems harder than NWN 1. But anyhow, my question:
Do classes like dagger spell and, or Dragonslayer work with warlock. I know dragon slayer said invocations, does that mean they alone do and does it work for eldritch getting better?

also do warlocks require charisma for their invocations, the way a wizard needs int 17 for circle 7 spells?

Nah, Charisma just affects DCs and how well certain invocations work (e.g. Dark One's Own Luck).bono_bob wrote:also do warlocks require charisma for their invocations, the way a wizard needs int 17 for circle 7 spells?

Classes that officially give warlock progression here, also are supposed to give you eldritch blast progression. However, you will not get warlock feats (energy resistance, damage resistance increase, etc).bono_bob wrote:I can seem to find quick answers throuhg search engines on here or google. Charisma is not required to cast invocation. Charisma may be important depending on your choice of invocations, because it changes dc or strength of effect for some of them. You can, however, make warlock with 6 charisma, if you want. It will be playable, with the right invocations.

OK thanks, so which classes actually do it? I'm not sure dagger spell does or not.

Re: Classes that increase caster/invoker lvl for warlock
Can someone confirm that Dragon Slayer gives Eldritch Blast progression for Warlock? I'll then update the Wiki with that info (currently, it does not specifically state this, while on nwn2db.com it does mention this...and I think it beneficial to our Player base to have more complete Class descriptions on the Wiki). Cheers.

Last time I checked, dragonslayer progressed warlock blast dice normally (that was in 2017?). It's a very good prc for a melee warlock.
So I can confirm it progressed it normally then. Same for Daggerspell, Stormsinger and Hellfire. All of them I've had at some point or the other and they progressed it normally.

Yes dragon slayer counts. Gives (dragonslayerlevel + 1) / 2 in progression. Assuming that one picks warlock progression!Steve wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 9:01 amCan someone confirm that Dragon Slayer gives Eldritch Blast progression for Warlock? Might as well note that dragonslayer DR does not stack with warlock DR and in fact overwrites it, so you get shafted with a lower DR

No reason it should overwrite it .. the DR types are different, dragonslayer DR is untyped DR. Warlocks get cold iron DR.

It does though. There are multiple threads on it on this forum.

someone else had the issue a long while back and im pretty sure he just ended up RCRing to get rid of something so it would work
mrm3ntalist wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2016 3:59 amI am not saying you have to RCR. I think this was reported to the QC and will try to have it fixed. The problem is that all our focus is on sorting issues with the update, so fixing DS/DarkPremo might take some timeSylael wrote:Good to know. Thank you!mrm3ntalist wrote: That is true. It was someone "Drogo" that had the same issue with Dragonslayer's DR and
Dark Premonition. He rcred his character.

Pretty sure it's because 'untyped' DR (eg, 3/- from Dragonslayer) always overwrites 'typed' DR even if the latter is higher (eg, 7/cold iron from a high level warlock). Seems to be higher in the DR priority scheme when taking damage.
