Garrv the Hostage Taker Chief
A caravan of goods from Eltruel had been ambushed by the goblin Garrv and his tribe, just east of Baldur's Gate, along the river. Garrv decided he wanted "500000 shinies" as ransom for the four humans who drove the caravan, so he sent one of them - Tim - towards Baldur's Gate with a ransom note.

Norm Smith outside of Baldur's Gate called for adventurers to help him out. Many came. The adventurers headed towards the Goblins, where the paladin Eon Fawkes tried to negotiate with the goblins while the elf Legos tried to sneak around back to where the hostages were held. The two goblins guarding the hostages spotted the sneaking elf and called out to their chief, who promptly ordered his tribe to attack.

The adventurers came out on top after a long battle, particularily with the surprisingly durable Garrv. Afterwards they escorted the hostages Arthur, Frida and Billy to the safety of Baldur's Gate.

Trouble in Thundar's Ride.
From the Eastern Farmlands outside of Baldur's Gate people could see smoke rising from Thundar's Ride. Several adventurers went to the scene and found it littered with skeletal remains. in the middle was a broken, empty wagon on fire and three dead human men. The skeletal remains extended to the West towards the Fields of the Dead.

The adventurers walked towards the fields and soon came upon many animated skeletons. There was a battle, but the adventurers were victorious. After the battle a few of them could spot blue lights in the distance and they all approached. There they found the culprit. The wizard behind it all. After a brief conversation with the raving mad wizard, the wizard started to animate skeletons around him and attack the adventurers. But the wizard had underestimated the power of a Priest of Myrkul and soon fell to a mighty spell.

The Mighty Kepeskathrax
Three of the adventurers who fought the mad wizard remained on the scene to bury the remains of the undeads and other victims of the wizard. Soon the trail that had lead them there lead new adventurers to the area. They had just managed to bury the remains and consecrate the ground when hordes of skeletal warriors and four liches appeared on the hill above. The battle was intense, but the adventurers were victorious.

Curious as to where these undeads came from, the adventurers headed in that direction. They soon arrived outside the infamous Vault of the Dead. Clattering of bone could be heard within the entrance. Soon the adventurers were inside, investigating. A manylayered, deep voice resonating through the halls taunted them. They fought their way bravely to the lower levels until they reached the final floor.

There they found him. The mighty Kepeskathrax, a dracolich of much greater power than the one usually residing within the Vault. Underestimating the power of the undead dragon, the adventurers taunted him until he attacked with utter confidence. Adventurer after adventurer fell until they had all fallen but one: Endelyon the bardess had managed to escape. She was injured, frightened and tired and made her way desperately towards Baldur's Gate.

Some hours later, she heard a rumour that the a Helmite patrol had carried several unconscious bodies to the Temple of Helm in Baldur's Gate. They had driven off, but not destroyed the mighty dracolich.

The mighty Kepeskathrax may return.

The Burning Shadow
People in the Baldur's Gate Farmlands spoke of smoke rising in the west. The people of Ulgoth's Beard, spoke of it rising in the east. Along the River Chionthar, a great fire was raging.

Soon, brave adventurers started to show up. They tried many tactics in extinguishing the fire, most of which were futile. But their attempts were noticed, and soon the source of the fire appeared: A great shadow of fire. Its appearance similar to that of a nightwalker, but burning. The adventurers battled it and it fell. The fires diminished. But much of the land had already been scorched.

The Burning Shadow, part 2
Another fire erupted along the River Chionthar. This time to the East of Baldur's Gate. And yet again many adventurers showed up to extinguish the fire. Druids, mages, warriors - all trying their best with various tactics.

In the end, they had extinguished almost all of it, but despite their efforts, the fire at ground zero didn't seem to want to go out. Again a shadowy cloud formed and soon the adventurers faced a great burning creature shaped like a nightwalker. One adventurer attacked, the others followed. After a long battle with several casualties, the shadow fell and the remaining fire eventually disappeared, leaving scorched earth.

Murder on the Trade Way!
Three people had been murdered on the Trade Way just north of Beregost. A guard from Beregost was questioning witnesses when adventurers showed up and started asking questions as well. Before the guard could get to the adventurers, one of the witnesses had pointed them in the direction the murderers had fled.

The adventurers came upon a house. Outside was a guard dog who attacked one of the adventurers when he tried to approach the house. The adventurer fought back and the guard dog soon ran off scared.

A blonde woman peeked out through the window at the adventurers. After a brief chat, she invited them in to talk about the murderers they were hunting. The perceptive adventurers soon discovered there was another person in the room - the murderer himself! There was a fight! Both the murderer and his female friend fell to the blades and magic of the adventurers.

One of the adventurers then beheaded the murderer to bring to the guards of Beregost. The guards did not appreciate that gesture.

Shadows on fire
A thick cloud of smoke could be seen rising over Thundar's Ride. Several adventurers investigated only to find another blazing fire. A druidess managed to contain the fire from spreading. Another adventurer warded himself from heat and went into the fire, taunting it and whatever may have caused it. Burning shadows appeared around him and attacked. Soon more shadows on fire appeared and a battle ensued.

The shadows fell after many moments, and the fires burned out, leaving behind yet another patch of scorched earth.

Burning Shadows on the Trade Way
A fire erupted outside the old, cultist-infested chapel north of Beregost. Fire elementals of various levels of power spread out in the area around the fire, pushing the usual goblins into the cave and occupying the area.

Adventurers travelling on the road engaged the fire elementals and soon defeated them. The fire itself remained and continued to spread. More and more adventurers arrived. Some just stood by watching. One contemplated throwing a poison into the midst of the flames so that people would be poisoned by trying to extinguish it. Another ran to Beregost, fetched buckets and came back to organize a waterbucket line from the river and to the fire. Soon they managed to halt the fire's spread.

A great flaming shadow appeared asking with a sad, disembodied voice why they destroyed its beautiful fires. Why would they not let the fire live? Slowly moved to anger, the great burning shadow began speaking words of terrible power, attacking the adventurers. A long fight ensued, several adventurers fell unconscious to within an inch of their lives, but in the end the adventurers prevailed, the shadow vanishing and leaving behind some gems.

The Giant Boar
Leonard the Farmer Student was standing in the Eastern Farmlands hoping to find some brave adventurers to track down the gigantic boar - described to be as big as a house - that ate half of the hay in his wagon as well as the book that lay on top of the hay. A few adventurers showed up and soon were on their way tracking down this unbelievably large boar.

One of the adventurers was a skilled tracker and they soon found the boar, whereupon they stood and stared blankly at its size for some time. The tracking adventurer attempted various ways of calming the beast, who soon started attacking with great fury. The tracker, who also was a druid, shifted into his own boar form in an attempt to communicate with the giant boar. This was to no avail, as the boar continued to be extremely angry. The druid dodged its attacks and the boar soon was worn out. It collapsed in exhaustion.

After some discussion with the other adventurers, the druid decided to make a surgical incision to get the book out of the pained boar. Soon they had managed to remove the book, which was oddly unharmed by the digestive fluids. They then healed the beast and the energy from the healing made it jump up and run off in an incredible speed.

The adventurers returned to the Farmlands and handed the book over to Leonard again.

Stolen Goods!
Lord Bernard Duskwater, a friend of Duke Liia, wanted to hire some adventurers to find some goods that were supposed to arrive three days prior. Five adventurers investigated and after some searching and investigating, they found the goods in the possession of three unsavoury Docks District inhabitants. There were harsh voices, and it almost came to blows, but one of the investigators paid the unsavory dock people handsomely to give the goods up.

The adventurers were now in possession of a sealed box. They debated for a while about what to do with it, but in the end they opened it due to suspicion of illegal contents. Their suspicions were correct but having no solid evidence that it belonged to Lord Duskwater, they felt they could not bring it to the Flaming Fist to accuse a Lord and friend of Duke Liia. So they split up and one took the illegal contents elsewhere until a decision can be made on how to proceed.
