To DM Ghost and the Helmites for setting up a nice tournament in Nashkel, and
to all those choosing to participate and the spectators that joined in the fun (and fray, ahem).

A special mention to that lovely scoundrel Sparrow.

All in all a merry and rather surprising end to a saturday evening.
Somehow I foresee a wet night at Roaringshore to celebrate the shaming of the murderous corrupt paladins (pirate POV).

A day cannot pass in Amn without there being drama, the good sort.

Thank you to DM Ghost for setting up the map and sticking around to RP Pablo and a few guards; and helping out in the difficult situations that Sveta if finding herself in all too often.

Endelyon and Valefort thank you both for the flyting! I was too happy to see possibly BGTSCC's first rap battle.

A big thanks to all the teams that turned out, The Hellstorm Crew, The Unlikely Three, The Goblinchew, and The Song of the Morning representation. I can understand the troubles of arranging a team of three so close to christmas.

I believe few can doubt that legitimacy of Karond's dwarven defender build after today.

A side thanks to Colonic and Nomster. It once was a common theme for my own characters to make Colonic's life hard, it is a laugh to see that turned about onto me!

Thank you to all the players who came to the tournament! It was a lot of fun watching! I took about 50 screenshots with the DM Free Cam. The best can be found here:

I encourage others to post screenshots they may have taken as well.

Good business!

There is a journal catching my interest lately: Celestial bliss and the other written by luminus and serena... it's really good so far for a flashback journal which I have always been partial to, if a bit tragic since it's about his dead wife. Not to mention the character strikes me as not too righteous and pompous, something I haven't honestly seen in divine , goodly characters. I could be wrong in this analysis, however.

Anyways, I've enjoyed playing with some new characters as well as Verith who might not be so absolute evil? (The evolution of our character's interactions has been surprisingly captivating from the nemesis beginning.)

Also, Unexplored for so many fun times. I hope I have entertained as much as I have dramatized.

I'd like to give a big thank you to DM Ghost for todays event in Roaringshores. It was unexpected and wonderful to have just someone add the flavour of the place, the animals involved and descriptions of the happenings beyond our control. We or at least I, had planned for really no one to oversee, just have some good player run rp. I even heard he gave a shout out for others to join which they did and it was exciting to see so many people show up.

How do I follow S_L's pirate flag?!?

Many thanks to DM Seren (and I assume there were others helping out too) for a grand event yesterday.

Great charactisation, intriguing plot, well set up and managed mechanically. It really doesn't get much better than that.

...it even had a soundtrack!

Thanks!!

I just want to thank Killington for having every right to PVP and kill a Necromancer PC last night, but chose a different route and took an alternative to mechanical superiority. We all ended up having fun and the player in question learned a lot about IC consequences for performing questionable acts (even if it was used for OOC grinding). Having a player base with people like you in it make it pleasurable to interact with when things like this happen. Fun was had and lessons were learned. :D

Having just completed a section of Cecilia's journals which took place during a short break earlier in the year, I feel I must extend my thanks (yet again) and make known the efforts Miasmata goes to for outstanding roleplay. Not only did he incorporate and let the story be driven by rolls (some were truly facepalm worthy, it was amazing) but he went to the trouble of writing up a brief synopsis of each day spent in Waterdeep and the events that occurred so that we might both share understanding.

This was many months ago, mind you, but credit should be given where it's due. A lot of my writing would not have been possible without the extra effort he has gone to for the sake of our shared RP and it deserves public recognition.

A few quick thank-yous are in order:

Rasael: Thank you for walking me through your scripts, and for all of your continued work improving the server. You've never lost faith in this place, or in those of us who play here, and we all owe you a lot for that.

Dev Team: I know it's not that easy being green, but for those of you who are keeping the fires burning? You are appreciated. You've built our whole world.

QC Team: Thanks also go out to the QC team, toiling in the shadows and acting as our checks and balances -- and sniffing out all of the exploits and bugs for the dev team to fix!

Luna: Thank you for trusting me not to blow anything up. I'm still kind of wondering what this big, red button does, though . . . ?

DM Team: Thank you all for keeping the world breathing, and giving it life, intrigue, and excitement. You do a lot more than "run events," and you don't always get credit for it. Thank you for the headaches you take care of though. Every headache you take on, you save me, Luna, and the Head DMs from, and we love you for that.

The Players: Finally, a thanks to the players. Special thanks to those of you who never cause issues, work hard to make sure everyone's having fun, and never rock the boat. You might fly under a lot of the radar, but I love you guys, and hope we're giving you a good time here. Thanks to the more vocal and passionate players, too: I know you only make all the noise because you care about this place. Thanks to the honest players, as well: You know who you are, reporting bugs to us, letting us know about cheaters and exploiters, watching for DM issues and notifying the proper people when you see them. You help us enormously in our efforts to provide everyone with a fun, fair, and inclusive game world.

In short, then, thanks everyone. We're off to a new year, and hopefully it'll be a good one.
