Sister Adolina possibly didn't want to sit, many might guess. Sick people needed feeding; they needed cleaning; there was laundry; there were dishes; there was horrible-smelling stuff making parts of the floor slick in the sick room. More than anything, Sister Adolina maybe did not want to sit. More than anything, she possibly couldn't stand for another moment. Still, Ilmater might give her the strength she needed.

But could her strength fail if she knew her legs were folding but couldn't feel them? If so, would she be able to stagger to a stool? It wouldn't do to let the sick see her collapse, after all, would it? Then, on the stool, sitting, she might weep without sobbing. She was supposed to endure, wasn't she? As a faithful Ilmateri, was she not supposed to suffer so others would not have to? Was she not supposed to be their feet, their hands, their--

Tarlu then might ask her: "When's the last time you ate anything?" That accent--that accent that was neither native or foreign! "The gods gave us food for strength, so it's not right for us to not eat some now and then."

The voice of Tarlu was too deep. He was too tall and broad, and it had been years since he had been sent away. The man disappeared into the crowd and came back with a piece of bread and a mug, wearing a grown man's beard, and he wore a relentlessly cheerful grin. He offered the bread and mug to her.

"You really need to eat, Sister!"

Ameris is seen praying over the food; perhaps he is casting detect poison and various omens and auguries to ascertain if the food remains in fit state.

Should he determine this is the case he would, upon the end of his shift in the temple, head to where he resides in the East Gate district with a sack of flour over each shoulder; he would do this two or three times daily until there was no more flour.

Each day arrive with back at the temple with passably prepared bread.

No doubt the balance would be used by the temple at large; perhaps Ameris is attempting to help clear space in the temple as quick as he can.

A call for aid of able hands

Volunteers are needed for an intrusion into the docks in attempts to suppress the spread of the disease. Those able to administer to the diseased, and those with able strength to move large weights and ensure peace is maintain are necessary for any success to be wrought.

You will be subject to conditions where you will be in contact with those inflicted with the disease, and where humanity is faced with depravity. Provisions will be ensured that volunteers do not fall victim to the disease. I ask only of those of the strong gutted, faltering in commands will undermined any success.

We gather at the Temple of Ilmater hour 21:30 on the 28th of Hammer. It is requested that volunteers dress in nothing heavier than leathers. Manual labour will be expected, and it is not war we bring to the docks.

Tarlu was back at Sister Adolina's side. "Um, listen, listen, I heard about this, um, thing, this thing thing at the docks, thing, and, um--" A grown man, a grown man with a beard, a monk, of all things, and he was bouncing in his speech. He stopped in mid-bounce and blinked. "Oh! Right! Breath! I was wondering if you knew anything about the aid mission to the docks that Sveta Asperan is organizing." Other people grow up. Other people start to make sense. Why was this one still such a little boy?

A trio of adventurers turn up at the temple with a dead plague rat of enormous size. Sister
Rachel contains it in a magical box awaiting further observation. One of the adventurers, Mileande Waynn, got very sick by touching it. The names of these adventurers were Mileande Waynn, Opal Blake and Mognart. Opal Blake has also donated 500 goldpieces to the temple for their tireless efforts.

Ameris is seen observing the box with interest.

Later he is seen speaking with Milende Waynn and Mogrant about the matter, and they head into the sewers.

Yesterday Mogrant was in the East Gate District and it may where just his destiny that he met Mileande Waynn again. He was glad to see that she has been healed by the Ilmatari sister.

They did not find anything of interest in the sewers this time.

They where investigating the happeings in the sewers later again together with other Ilmatari (Telia, Ameris, there where three other Names I barely remember!) and the Druid Ivan. A magical box with an example of the first found infected rat where examined.
In the sewers they encountered more rats and a exceptional huge one the appearance of these creatures and the possible correlation with the sickness still seems to be a mystery...

After taking a bath in the near river and washing his clothes, Mogrant went back to the temple to stay there to help curing the sickness in Baldurs Gate. To all Ilmatari he do not know yet, Mogrant would introduce himself as a Monk of Ilmater from a distant monastery. If someone asks he would state that he has found a place to stay for a longer while because he beliefs that Baldurs Gate needs the help of more good natured people like the local Ilmatari he met this days.

A notice is pinned up in the Temple of Ilmater.
Wandering Brothers and Sisters of Ilmater on the Coast.

Our temple is at the forefront of our fight against this sickness. Notices elsewhere vouch for a call to utmost effort to deliver healing to those worst affected.

But such efforts are in vain without healing kits, scrolls and potions. It is my hope that those of the faith can gather and plan how we might keep a steady flow of supplies heading to the temple so we might have the same head out.

As always, united effort will stand us all in good stead.
