Relatively new player looking for guild.

Unread post by Relleck »

Joined the server early-mid January, and after going through several PCs I've finally settled on one Im going to primarily focus on.

My character is Relleck Fallstar, and he is a Lawful Evil Assassin/Rogue. While I'm still working on the complete back story, I can tell you that he's evil in the sense that he values other's life very little, and would not hesitate to kill someone - but only if given a reason that falls within his personal code. His humor is sharp, and he doesnt hesitate to belittle or call out others on their hypocrisy or idiocy. That being said, he is loyal to those whom have earned his trust and if it does not come at great personal sacrifice to himself would be willing to lend them a hand. This loyalty extends only so far as the friendship (or at least the understanding) is mutually beneficial, and the other party does not betray him.

Ideally the guild he'd join would be a spy-network type guild, with an emphasis on exchanging information / valuables / or even contracts (for acquisition or even murder). He wouldnt be interested in any majorly goodly guilds, or even extremely evil ones bent on domination and/or subjugation.

Very interested in role play and advancing story, so intrique and the such are fine, but he's very much a martial character and enjoys combat related activities very much so.

Please let me know if your guild is recruiting and would be a good fit, either on here or in a PM in game. Thanks!

Greetings Relleck, I understand the wish to join a guild when you start somewhere. I don't know if anyone contacted you yet...

But I would strongly suggest that you seek recruitement IC instead of OOCly, especialy since the type of rp you wish to get. Those kind of guild membership is mostly gain via rp. Seek people out, make it an goal of your character to find that type of employement or mentor.

I'd say it's really the best way to enjoy both your guild and your time with other players.

If I was playing I'd love to have you based on our talks on irc, but in this case you are a perfect fit for the zhentarim. :)

A fair point, and one I considered (and still do). I wouldnt join a guild without some RP involved, and I have been contacted by a couple individuals whom want to meet me IC, but havent disclosed much in the way of their guild type, so that the potential match would be determined naturally.

What I'm running into thus far are mostly folks involved in their own guild affairs / solo advancement / intrigue. It can be pretty hard to break into that in order to find a guild, especially if what Im looking for wouldnt be a guild thats very public and welcoming (like a goodly church guild).

It can be pretty difficult to ICly discover all the different guilds out there. I know players who have been around for years and never ran into some of the very secretive guilds... :P If you have limited playtime and want to get involved in a guild, sometimes asking OOCly is the way to go instead of stumbling around blindly. Most guilds are quite adamant about doing the actual recruitment ICly so I see no issues with threads like these...

Anyway, sent you a PM Relleck.
