A party of brave adventurers comb the land along the river between Baldur's Gate and Ulgoth's Beard. They seek the source of the glow spiders who frequently pester travelers along this path. Their searches lead them to a subterranean nest. Did they find more than they bargained for inside?

The following weeks see a marked decrease in spider activity along the river to Ulgoth's Beard.

In a show of interfaith solidarity, Elaborate ceremonies are held venerating Myrkul and Bane in Darkhold square High atop the Sunset Mountains.

Word is sent across the Northern Sword Coast that through veneration of Myrkul and supplication to Bane one can be spared the accursed plague which has afflicted Baldur's Gate and starved trade coming from the West.

Over the coming days, from a distance, torch lights can be seen ascending the increasingly well tread caravan routes up the mountain atop which Darkhold rests. As pilgrims begin to flock from the spattering nearby towns like Corm Orp & Soubar. A few supplicants are even seen arriving from towns such as Elturel and Scornubel, from whom so recently had been shouted calls for a very different sort of march upon the Zhentarim.

A party, seeking to reek havok among their enemies, stumbles into the mountainous territory of an Elder Black Wyrm. In unforeseen fashion, their misfortune turned into the Dragons fortune, and allowed it to settle an old score. Consequently, they were permitted to descend the snowy peak with their lives... and something else.

MECHANUS: PLANE OF LAW

A clay golem bursts through the gate and wanders around Beregost. A whispering wind spell encircles it issuing a call for aid from the High Hedge estates.

Several adventurers respond, arriving at the high hedge to find a much more elaborate golem calling itself an "inevitable" hold the wizard by the throat, threatening to kill him for violating a contract. The wizard pleads with the adventurers (and empties the gold from his pockets upon the floor while dangling) to use the strange square shaped portal nearby to go rectify the matter.

Unrest at the docks

In the fallout of the receding plague, among the grumbling bellies and blanket-less shoulders fighting off the cold of the thawing winter, amid rising tension, something snaps. As dawn breaks rioting starts among the meager stalls of the market in the impoverished Docks District of Baldur's Gate. Amid the destruction of public property, are cries of hunger and chants denouncing the Duke's for allowing the district to slip into such a sorry state.

The Flaming Fist are quickly dispatched and set up barricades at the district exits.

The Exchange, Part 7

Duke Eltan has been said to be in a sullen mood over the last few days, and his wizardess companion Moruene has been said to be missing several social appearances. During that time he has been receiving the council of several priests.

Several woodsy elves are said to have visited Duke Eltan at the Flaming Fist compound, along with a Sunite. The group meets up with a dwarf and a few other adventurers, then takes a caravan north into the Troll Claw Mountains.

Seeking the Source

Several adventurers use a Magical journal to seek the source of its writings in hopes of leveraging it against their enemies. Once they find where it leads them, they likely question the wisdom of their act. While they are able to escape the source with their lives, the journal is left behind.

A lone survivor returning to Darkhold tells tale of a Great Black Dragon angrily rampaging across the mountains. A few caravans go missing, then the sunset mountains return to their relative state of calm.
