Rumours of Sshamath

Two drow refugees have been rumoured to escape Menzoberranzan after their house, Ma'Phae, was annexed by one larger and more powerful than itself. Before they left it is believed they took revenge, successfully killing the matron of their enemy house with aid from one of her very own daughters. Once the seat of power changed, however, the blame was fixed upon them.

Suspected of taking advantage of the lack of priestess over-watch in S'shamath, these young drow have travelled through the perilous Underdark to arrive at the city of S'shamath very recently.

A battered and beaten Lis'intha Dev'lin may have been seen entering Sshamath, head held high and a defiant look in her eyes.

It's rumored that a small female drow appeared inside the Gloura's wings. She didn't appear to be someone skilled in the arcane arts, still she was somewhat lecturing a faern. As sudden as this figure appeared in the city, she left again, her whereabouts unknown.

A slack mouthed sarglitin named Bardax Zau'afin is heard in the Gloria's Wings making jokes about his brother Thrar'vulan while drinking heavily. The jokes are related to his brothers style of headdress and comments of disbelief that Thrar would have the temerity of mocking his hat when he himself wears such strange head wear.

In the West of Veralla's passage are the remains of what seems to be the necromancer, Isendur, of house Sshamath. A brutally severed head is pierced upon a spike, a deep 'D' cut into his cheek.

Resting on the cold rocky floor of an underdark cavern lays a scattered mess of ashen remains. Nothing left to identify the body but an insignia unburned upon the pile. Zau'afin. It would seem soon after another member of their house was rumored to be scooping them up desperately, and fleeing after a showdown that had gone wrong.

The remains of the necromancer, Isendur, of house Sshamath is quickly taken down by a male wizard of Qu'ellar Zau'afin, who brings the remains into Sshamath to the school of Necromancy where it is protected and assistance is looked for.

Beldroin receives the head at the school but informs the Zau'afin faern that unless the Qu'ellar Sshamath is willing to pay for its preservation it will become property of the school, as is always the case with the remains of the dead from the city...

The news reached Malira Halda in the Gloura's Wings while she was engrossed in an arcane tome borrowed from Isendur S'shamath some cycles earlier. After the patrons bringing the rumor had left, Mira approached the barkeep to learn more.

The news of his recent demise were a surprise but otherwise did not affect the Half-Drow overly much; she had only recently become Isendur S'shamath's apprentice and did not know the necromancer very well. Flipping through some of her older notes, Mira mumbled quietly to herself before paying the barkeep for her meal.

"D... Dev'lin... Ah, there it is: Lis'intha Dev'lin." Closing her notebook, Mira collected her things and headed out the door toward the School of Mages. "Interesting development, if not somewhat inconvenient. Seems I'll have to look for a new teacher."

Yathrin Irrtana Sshamath would be seen entering the school of necromancy. A few wards are instantly dispelled as is the usually greeting from the schools entrance. her casual strides leading her closer to the bar while her gaze is all around the school.

"I've always thought this school to have the best taste of all the schools in Sshamath. I wonder just how far along they have come with their studies with the undead?"

She speaks out loud as she selects from the two item long wine list.

"I am curious to find out, and I have a great test subject in mind"

she orders the red wine

Nearby apprentices would hear her question and curiously approach her to ask "Were dos needing to see one of the necromancers?" other apprentices pause what they are doing watching the yathrin and turn to the jaluk who went up to her, a few can be seen pointing to the alchemy labs in the back of the lobby area and one apprentice gets up and pokes his head into the area...

One of the school's servants brings her glass of red wine out and waits to see if she needs anything else

Not long after the apprentice near the labs takes his seat again and points towards the yathrin as Beldroin comes out and heads over to her table. See eyes the apprentice standing near the table a moment and turns to the yathrin and simply says "Xas? What can usstan do for dos?"

Several light armoured scouts are spotted leaving the Dev'lin compound. Though they march with grace, it is evident they are under pressure to move quickly. Once entering the mouth of the caves North West of Sshamath, they sequentially slip into the shadows to avoid detection.

In the West of Veralla's passage are the head of Eloril Zau'afin placed on a spike, this brutally severed head has a deep "D" cut into its cheek.

Ril'vyr Dev'lin has been heard talk to one of his pupils about how he cut down the Zau'afin bi*** when she threatened to kill Lis'intha, Neer, and himself... Ril'vyr also talked about some male mage that just left her there to die...

In the West of Veralla's passage Vendos Zau'afin shouts out in rage as he sees the head of Eloril Zau'afin on a spike.
He then takes the head and walks of towards the city.

[Moridin]

A large group of rothe is seen being led out of Sshamath by Zau'afin guards. As they passed the guards in Varallas passage, one of the rothe was seen attempting to sneak away, but was caught again and hit with a club. What are the Zau'afins doing?
