The next night Ameris and Telia once more visit the chapel. Soft words are spoken again as the priest bows on his knees before the altar, the sorceress beside him. Quietly tears roll down Ameris' cheeks as he sweeps up the sand, and brushes it into a dustpan, Telia's comforting hand on his shoudler. As he picks up the shoes and toy, the priest's eyes widen, his tears dry, and he clutches at Telia with some excitement. They hurry off back upstairs with pan and carved wood alike, the witch confused, the priest driven.

A letter addressed to Lady Telia Navra is left with Sister Adolina within the temple of Ilmater, it's recipient's name written in an elegant flowing font. The parchment is made of high quality, rolled, and sealed with maroon wax bearing the image of a thorned rose.

The letter is retrieved from Sister Adolina before anyone else may have a chance to see it...

*A young girl enters the chapel at the brick of dawn, chestnut hair still tousled form sleep, she approaches the altar with her head low before kneeling in front of it. Eleanor places a small candle and an offering of a green stone as well as few coins. She lights up the candle, take a deep breath looking at the Ilmateri symbol. Words spoken by the young girl are quiet, Ellie's voice polite and pleading.*

Prayer for Grandmaster Arkaine's soul

1. I kneel in front you my Lords, my beloved Triad, humble servant with my simple words, to ask for aid. Not for me, but for one of Helm's servants, Grandmaster Akraine. I beg you to hear me out.
   I know little of death and what it does to a being's soul. He says we loose piece of our soul each time we die, and if that's true, if he indeed died many times, then his soul must be shattered and wounded.
   I felt the rage, anger and the unspeakable depth of loss over his fellow squires and over his own inability to protect them. There was fear, we all fear, even the braves of us. His wounded heart and soul driven with rage pushed him into something, I believe, he fears the most. Only with your help my lords he can avoid the corruption of the remains of his soul.
   I beg you to help him braid together the strands of himself he has left, strengthen them, show him the light and the joy, help him remember the feeling that filled him when his squires were returned to him.
   Guide him, so the blind anger which he thinks excuses his actions does not drove him over the edge of a heated vengeance as that is not the way of Helmite to conduct himself. Help him be a better judge of his own actions and of the wrongs he committed. I beg you, my beloved Triad, to provide him with understanding and inner peace and your ever healing love.
   I pay to you on his behalf, as I saw firsthand how broken he feels, how that pushes him to do things that are not within the teachings we receive.
   I beg you to forgive him and aid him, so he does not go astray losing his holy purpose to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
   I humble myself in front of you my Lords, hopeful, compassionate and determined. I offer you my deepest devotion, my heart and my soul.

*When prayer is done, Eleanor remains on her knees letting the soothing feeling of commune with gods fill her. She leaves the chapel after half an hour heading for the rich city district.*

Ameris conducts his own daily prayers before the altar, prayers at dawn customary for the Adorned of Ilmater. No doubt he is within the chapel too when Eleanor conducts her vigil, clad in grey robes and skullcap, kneeling near the altar.

His own prayers are whispered, and indeed performed in part in Alzhedo. He clasps his holy symbol, the bloody rack of Ilmater embossed with a seal depicting Saint Ramedar, throughout his prayers. Two cords are wrapped round it, one white, one black. He touches each at certain points in his prayers.

He would pause his prayers when Eleanor began hers, before resuming when they are done. Although he would try and give the impression of not listening.

*Eleanor would offer an apologetic smile to Ameris trying to be as non intrusive as possible during her time at the chapel.*

Ameris would smile in return, indicating no apology is needed, before returning to his own vigil.

Toward the evening, a blonde woman dressed in worn purple leathers gently closed the temple's wooden door behind her with the cradled arm of a viscous spider bite. After bringing news to Brother Marcus of the spider invasion in the Temple of Tyr, as bid by High Priest Eldric, Cecilia allowed her wounds to be treated by Erza, visiting Paladin of Sune.

The Sanctuary itself was quite busy, as it oft tended to be, knights and moustached barbarians at the fore soon joined by a familiar man in a fox-tailed hat whom claimed to be Ameris' Barber. Alas the crowd dissipated one by one, leaving the two newest arrivals to converse between themselves well past dusk. With the ascent of Selune and her starry gown, the pair departed together in high spirits.

Earlier in the evening, a number of persons would arrive back in the temple in mixed spirits. Two, Ameris Santraeger and Eldarian Al'maire, were caked in mud. The others, Telia Navra, Ivan, Berea Merriman, Sveta Asperan and Eleanor, were themselves clean.

Ameris headed upstairs before returning down, complaining of a spider's nest in the bathroom - the oversized occupants of which which he was informed by Telia had been dealt with earlier. The druid Ivan went up with Ameris to investigate further.

The temple was bustling, with the Ilmateri Reine and Anselm about their duties and a visit by a young player named Erasmus. There was a degree of tension there, with some dispute about a provocative song the young man had sung before the Radiant Heart Chapterhouse.

A long haired forester arrived as a certain tension between Ameris and Telia, evident since their return, came to a head. The actress left, rapidly followed by the priest, and they did not return that night.

A letter arrives at the temple of Ilmater in Baldur's Gate by carrier pigeon. It boasts the official seal of the Song of the Morning. Two words are written on the exterior in flowing script:

There was a commotion in the chapel late in the evening. What started out as a gesture of goodwill, an attempt at closure, soon became a hushed argument. A male voice, mocking irony in his laughter, drifted from behind the closed door with a slap sounding shortly after. Several minutes later, a crash of wood echoed through the hall followed by resonating thuds of bare fists striking on metal.

With the situation intervened and brought to a halt, a blonde woman departed with bloodied and broken knuckles. Curiously, it was her wrist she grasped on exit, rather than her wounds.

Despite all happenings, the visitors to the temple would note that the recent improvements in floor hygiene are being maintained by a recent arrival, armed with a mop and a profound dislike of all stains.

She occasionally sings. It is out of key, though the patients seem to like it. This may be indicative of their health, more than anything.

*Tending to her evening prayers, the young squire would leave the chapel to look for the source of commotion she heard. Catching only a glimpse of a beautiful, blonde lady, Eleanor would search for Reine instead to wish her good night before leaving the temple.*

An increasingly familiar blue-robed priestess of Mystra makes her way into the Temple of Ilmater carrying a rolled letter. After asking around for Ameris Santraeger and not finding him, she leaves the letter with one of the sisters and departs.

An open letter is left on display in the Temple of Ilmater. It is requested that all who use the temple have their attention drawn to it.

Righteous of the Coast

A new undead menace to all the goodly folk has revealed itself within the Vaults in the Field of the Dead, a skeletal champion warded in golden metal. Instead of outright killing its foes and reanimating them, it uses dark magic to turn them into its unwitting agents that might spy on the land and other righteous organisations. Its exact motives are unknown, but we worry that they will affect the Sword Coast at large.

We had hoped to write this letter with a mind to call the righteous together into a host, composed of many orders and faiths, but one intent - to come together to crusade in fervour, and render holy judgement on this one of the myriad threats that plague the lands.

To remind us all that we are not alone in our service. And to come together not as a series of isolated candles. But as a great, purifying flame.

Whatever lays within the depths, whether lich born of man or draconic, or the golden revenant itself, must be met head on. The evil within the vault must be subjected to righteous judgement. It must be put down for the good of the innocents under threat. It must be illuminated by the unfettered dawn.

It is our hope that you will join together with us under the banners of your Orders and Faiths, so that we may march together to end this menace.

And we pray such holy resolve will spill over into further joint efforts of this nature.

////Hi! We are hoping to run an RP event whereby we get a bunch of holy types together to do some faith RP and, as well, put some hapless undead to the sword!

While we are going to run the RP by the DM team it is likely to be a player driven event only, but the aim is for the various goodly characters on the coast to get together and do something fun.

Once we have an idea of the PCs interested we will set a date. We are thinking a weekend will likely be best, in GMT evening.
