Xilios Sven

Left alone in the woods by his mother, a dwarven kid was found surrounded by orcs, by a group of paladins on an errand to hunt down the Orc chieftain and his minions, who had been harassing the nearby village for some time. After they managed to slay down the orcs, they decided it would be wise to bring the infant back to town before they were to hunt the chieftain. However, once back in town, one of the paladins took upon himself and his wife, the great, yet hard task of adopting and raising a dwarven kid, naming him Xilios.

Many years past by and Xilios grew up with his new family, though he always knew he was different from his human friends, both in size and in personal interests. Xilios always watched his adopting father's work with great awe and respect and he thought to himself that he would continue in his father's footsteps one day when he got older as a paladin. The day came when he was ready of age and he decided to pack his backpack and venture out into the world. Equipped with only the necessary - a hand axe for chopping wood, flint for lighting a campfire and a few coins, he begun the journey for Baldur's Gate and adventure.

After a few seasons trying to act and become a Paladin, he soon came to realize that this was not the path he wanted to take, though he always wanted to help those in need and do good. After all, a paladin's path is never an easy one.

Even though, still scarred from his childhood attack from the orcs he went out to hunt orcs in the woods with fellow dwarves he met at the Mirror-shaft Inn. He knew from there that this was the path he wanted to take - fighting for the greater good with a tower shield and a dwarven war axe in his hands, which he received as a gift from Thundar Kampestein and also seeking out his dwarven roots and maybe some day meet his family again - if they're even still alive...
