That said apparently Martin won't write a single episode for the next season and is cutting down on his media stuff and various visits to conventions in order to focus on finishing the book before the next season.Show runners Dan Weiss and David Benioff confirmed over the weekend that their show would be ending in the same place as the book series, and sooner than the books as well.
Man, it's been a rough season for me. Two of the guys I was rooting for after last season have taken the scum bag (I paraphrase) route, Little Finger and Stannis. Worst part about it, is that their roles and those they have affected, have been completely changed from the books! Gods I wish that George would have taken a break from writing this season!Thids wrote:They stated that the tv show will go ahead of the books and finish earlier. The show won't be the same as the books (as it wasn't so far either) but the ending will be the same.

IMO this was the worst season so far, but it's still very entertaining to watch. I'm waiting for the next episode to see if certain someone is going to die or not. If they die it's a spoiler for the books in sooooooooooooooooooooo many ways, I'll explain why next week in more detail with a spoiler tag. And if they don't die then that's also a potential spoiler for the books.Maverick 40 wrote:Man, it's been a rough season for me. Series is moving into much more of a black and white space, as opposed to the grey areas which encapsulated the first 2 seasons and the 4th. I hope this season ends well, because it is a bit disappointing overall.
