I would like to speak with anyone who might have seen what transpired at Pathfinder Hall a couple days ago. I know Sister Jeanna spends a lot of time on the streets not too far from Pathfinder Hall. If Sister Jeanna or anyone else has any information, I would appreciate it if they reached me at the SCCE bank.

Mi-Le seeks out Brother Ameris with a question.

"Brother Ameris, there is a new merchant in the Palace District. He sells bottomless bottles of ale. I wondered if you thought these bottles could be put to use in meeting the needs of the poor and starving?"

Ameris can be found cataloguing and sorting the medicines in the infirmary; he almost seems rushed. Indeed he seems to be running around a lot the past few days in an effort to ensure that the records which he habitually keeps are up to date and everything for which he is responsible is organised; as if to make it easy for others to understand.

When Mi-Le finds Ameris he would smile to the man in greeting and listen to his news.

"That is a most unusual creation if so; it is a bottle of ale that is never empty?"

The priest pauses, then frowns. "The untold harm that could cause to those with a harmful relationship with drink..."

He then looks thoughtful. "But perhaps the same magic could be used to make bottomless bottles of water, or orange juice..."

He smiles. "I think this a thing worth investigating! You or I should go and speak with this merchant and ask him where he obtained such devices!"

The monk smiles. "You seem quite busy here, Brother. I would be happy to meet the merchant if you have no time. But you have more of a presence here in this city, and the merchant might respond more positively to a representative of your temple than he would to an unknown beggar-monk." Mi-Le's smile widens.

Ameris nods. "Very well, I will go and speak with him, and see what can be done. Thankyou for speaking of this."

"You're quite welcome," Mi-Le replies. The monk smiles and bows to Brother Ameris, and then goes to see whoever might need attention in the infirmary.

With the soup kitchen in decline, the mopping paladin begins to investigate. She starts in the local taverns on her usual visit as a "regular", though as always, she rarely bothers to drink anything other than the filthiest of ales. She seems to be trying to find out more about the "competitors".

Brother Ameris and Telia say their goodbyes to the clergy and others who frequent the temple. They have packed for a long journey, it seems, although Ameris speaks positively of returning. He has spent over a ten-day preparing for departure, with his duties in the temple made as easy to take over as possible.

The pair, after some false starts, head to a ship in the docks. It sets sail, heading downriver to the sea, and then south.

Much of the refugees from Wayfork have either trickled out of the Gate or found work and are sustaining themselves. Benedict has even been seen helping out around the church, appearing to only indulge himself with drink at night. Recently, however, objects have been disappearing from around the church.

*Since her father has been spending time in the temple, the young squire would have not been seen there neither before her leave for Waterdeep nor after coming back.*

In the absence of the irreplacable Ameris Santraeger and the sorceress who sits at his side, the mopping woman has been fielding most queries, feeding the sick, collecting what few alms come her way and generally being common around people.

While she lacks his skill, debonair grace and dashing good looks, she does have a mop.

The mopping woman has been seen making a number of preparations. Gathering healing supplies, assisting Sister Adolina in clearing up the infirmary and a number of other things. It is apparent that she is intending on something major.

A day or so later, a number of people known to speak with her on her visits to the Blushing Mermaid are seen spreading the word that the mopping woman intends to support the declining soup kitchen with a large scale health initiative in the docks. While her reasoning for her timing is nebulous at best (none of them seemed to know -why- she was doing it), she seems intent on doing so anyway.

A missive appears on the Temple door - written in common speak:

"Spread the word: If you know someone thats for healing then go down the docks in two days time and head to the main square. All ills considered and healed. Alms from those with deep pockets welcome.

OOC: I will be running a smallish player driven event for the poor of Baldurs Gate in the Docks District of Baldurs Gate after kickboxing, around 10PM on Thursday night.

The Wayfork refugee known as Benedict can be seen trying to help, clearly in the way more than actually helping. He continues to try and help those of the temple between Sister Adoline's lessons.

An envelope arrived addressed to Ameris. No one was seen leaving it.

Mi-Le has been residing at the temple less and less over the last month. However, he still stops by on occasion to see who among the suffering he can help.

On one such visit, Mi-Le approaches the mopping woman. He briefly observes her mopwork and smiles appreciatively. The monk then greets her with a bow.

"Greetings, Sister. We have not been formally introduced. My name is Mi-Le. I have come with a request that may seem impolite, and it involves that shelf." Mi-Le indicates the shelf which holds copies of the Baldur's Gate Herald. "I have been keeping a journal in which I reflect on the teachings of my monastery. May I keep a copy on that shelf for anyone who might want to read it?"
