Decided to go with a caster instead of 2h melee.
Any tips/hints/advice?

I played this one up to lvl 18. Lots of fun...if you like buffing your summons, turning invisible, and following them around dungeons while they tear it up. But! RPing the power of the planes in your direction connection to the Weave, well...that makes for equally good times.

Not sure why, but I thought you could only multiclass up to three classes total?Steve wrote:http://nwn2db.com/build/?221035

EDIT: The build might be borked. I don't see Thaurmatauge in there anywhere. They take pale master instead.

Thaumaturge isn't available in the builder as its a BGTSCC custom class. In the comments section at the top, you'll see what Steve wrote.FlippinFerrets91 wrote:Not sure why, but I thought you could only multiclass up to three classes total?Steve wrote:http://nwn2db.com/build/?221035

Is this a good build though? What do you mean by 'tear it up' ?Steve wrote:http://nwn2db.com/build/?221035

Do the summons make quick work of monsters and leave me little need to go on the offensive?
How is this class in the early stages? Like levels 1-5?

Any pure Wizard in the first 5 levels is extremely squishy, and if you are not twinking your Characters, doubly so.FlippinFerrets91 wrote:How is this class in the early stages? Like levels 1-5?
In my opinion, you have to put that INT to use, in-character, and do what you can to survive the low levels. But quite soon, the build starts to show it's strengths—a dedicated caster is a situational build, and the power there is often to be used when needed, not wasted (also part of RPing that INT score!
If you are curious as how-to-play-for-maximum-pawnage, I suggest testing out in JEGs, level by level and learning how to setup your Toolbars, when spells are most efficient to use, and to consider which IG items you'll want to acquire over time.
Study up mate!

Is there a way to set up JEGS to have items found in bgtscc? If so perhaps I need to upgrade my version.
