Aasimar and Celestial language

Greetings

Have to ask for clarification on nature of Asimar knowledge of Celestial language.
Supernatural, other, Is it "in the blood" somehow?
They say "the language are primarily symbolic in expression, relying on hieroglyphic-like images to communicate their meaning".
For example, if no one spoke to Aasimar in this language since her birth. Does Aasimar think Celestial? Or some kind of initiation is required? Can Aasimar at all be oblivious to who she is? If she suddenly would find hieroglyphic-like images of Celestial writing, would she automatically be able to recognize, read and answer them? If someone would talk to her in Celestial, first time in her life, would she be innately fluent in the communication?

It's mostly granted to give the aasimar player the freedom to roleplay whatever degree of influence their character has with the language. If they barely recognize it, that's fine. If they've spoken prayers with it their whole life, that's fine too.

It's not supernatural nor is it blood-transferred.

Aasimar can be oblivious to their true race as it's rather watered down from celestial. The more human-like they are, the more likely they are to be unaware of their heritage.




A lot of these things are basically up to the player to decide. The language is granted to the race as a freebie because it's relatively common for them to have encountered it in their life.

What Narshe said . My main, Elvina is an Aasimar, however I've always RP'ed her as Elven being her first language since she was raised by elves since she was a small child, therefor she only knows very few words in Celestial.. hello goodbye etc.
