A Foray to Fire Castle
Event Players:
Mendel, Nai'Kabael Dy'thilen, Alsarias Lythar, Thistle Silyba Rose, Vendor Xon, Lambe Arkolyn, Sai Ju'eine, Celduil Selie
Plot:
Various members of the Elder Circle made their way into the Graypeaks to search for any sign of undead in the area. When they reached the summit, they found the inhabitants of the Fire Castle less than willing to speak to them. A Gate was opened, and a Pit Fiend as well as several lesser devils spewed forth. The adventurers were able to dispatch the creatures, and eventually close the Gate as well. When they tried to plead with the inhabitants of the castle and ask if there had been any sign of the undead, they were told by a giant bellowing from the ramparts to leave immediately before another attack ensued. The giants were surprised to find that one of the rangers spoke their tongue, but an impasse had been reached and the adventurers left for now.

A Caravan Crusade
Credits:
Co-hosted with DM Libelula (he did most of the work)
Event Players:
Sveta Asperan, Reine Arlynson, Thalcor Wintersteel, Allisa Ilyrana, Xiarhos
Plot:
The Everwatch Knights agreed to protect a wagon for some traveling Helmites. Various orcs and bandits plague their efforts along the way, and at one point one of the Helmites (Atio Clister) took an opportunity in the confusion to steal from one of his own before splitting off with a straggling adventurer. When the wagon traveled into orc-infested territory, the Watchknights were able to protect them once more, though several were knocked out and nearly killed in the fighting. The mop knight took her orders to stay at the wagon quite seriously, and it took quite a while before she realized her companions were nearly dead on the road ahead of her. Once everyone was fine and the confusion cleared, at least they would all be able to look back on it and laugh.
Rewards:
2000 experience points or gold
One hilarious and stubborn paladin

"Tag! You're it!"
Event Players:
Terri Lalani, Taran Seven, Lucas
Plot:
Several adventurers made their way into the Misty Forest. Upon arriving in the glen, not far from the paths that led further in toward the Dharashan village, they came upon some rather strange creatures. Two horrible banshees had taken residence there, and all manner of flying creatures that appeared to be some kind of undead franken-bats. At first they were pressed back and forced to flee, and were chased through the forest by the bat-like creatures. Eventually they finished those off, and thanks to Terri's magic and the fortitude of all three of them, they managed to regroup and defeat the banshees as well. Afterward a rather strange and playful woman that seemed able to flit in and out of the astral plane approached them, giggling with glee after watching them slay her "pets." She appeared behind Terri, tapping her on the shoulder and yelling "Tag! You're it!" before vanishing completely. Battered (and rightfully confused), the adventurers took a warning to the rangers that guarded the outskirts of the Dharashan village. Surprised that the undead could have appeared so close to their village without having been seen by one of their scouts, any follow-up patrol would have easily eliminated any of the remaining bat-creatures.
Rewards:
1000 experience points or gold
A funny game of tag

Things That Go Boom
Event Players:
Trace, Bruno, Estig, Sharalee, Ruean Raerithar, Mikel, Isabella Villame
Plot:
A group of adventurers keep hearing some loud, deep rumbles coming from beneath the earth in the Cloakwood forest. Discovering a new cave in the area that looked forcibly rent open, the adventurers track down a group of kobold sappers that are using highly volatile explosives to cut out new tunnels deep below the ground. They manage to snag several of the Kobolds' mines for themselves, and use them to cut a path through the cave in the direction the previous rumbles had been coming from. The sappers' leader, Kaboom, escapes with one of the other kobolds as those that remain attack the adventurers, throwing flaming pitch just before they die to hurt the adventurers and blow more stuff up. With each explosion the earth groans and shudders, and it becomes evident that the structural integrity of the entire system is being compromised. They continue tracking Kaboom deeper into the cave, managing to kill him and the final sapper without any further explosions rocking the caverns. On their way out, however, they discover a rather one tunnel trapped and rigged to blow, set up with a large amount of mines and explosive barrels. One of the adventurers got a little too close without disarming the trap, and the whole thing ended up in flames, causing the cave to begin collapsing around them. Things appeared quite bleak, but instead of trying to escape on foot, the party's mage had the sense to teleport them to safety, outside Candlekeep, escaping the tunnels caving in by mere moments.
Rewards:
3000 XP or GP for each player
Kaboom's chainmail armor
The pleasure of watching things go "boom."

A Girl and Her Dolls
Event Players:
Kaile Jarlson, Faelwen Mirima, Richter Leonhart, Malast Dravv, Vendor Xon, Terri Lalani, Estig
Plot:
Some kind of strange skulls with bat wings sewn on them are spotted flying around above the Cloakwood. After killing several of them, a party gathered to investigate deeper into the woods, where they were assailed by undead lizardfolk, each one appearing to be a mishmash of limbs and various parts from several different lizards that had been sewn together before being fused with "unlife." A woman named Nui appeared from deeper in, thanking the adventurers and the Gods that they had cut her a path to escape. The adventurers grew suspicious due to a symbol of Umberlee the woman had displayed on her armor, and just as she tried to explain to them how common the faith was in Baldur's Gate, more of the horrific lizard creatures appeared, tearing her to pieces before the party could put them down. As that fight ended, they heard a set of shrill, piercing screams from the south before moving forward to be attacked by two rather powerful banshees. After defeating them, the party continued to explore until they found what appeared to be a rather young woman, giggling to herself as she played "mix and match" with several lizardfolk corpses the same way a little girl might play with her dolls. The girl told the adventurers to go away and leave her alone so she could keep playing, but without much hesitation a knight in the party attacked, forcing Verona to reveal her true form. The battle that ensued cost the lives of nearly all the adventurers, but they were finally able to defeat Verona, who disintegrated completely, leaving only a pile of ash, upon her death. Somehow the adventurers had survived the fight, by the skin of their teeth.
Rewards:
2000 XP or GP for each player
Slight shift towards chaotic/good for Richter
Lots and lots of Frankenlizards and a big ol' pile of lich dust

Re: DM Gogo's Tales
A Caravan Conundrum
Event Players:
Greil Nightgale, Marcel Cormier, Tek'Ill Skullsplitter, Rita Faheeling, Vendel, Liam, Iri
Plot:
Overhearing a discussion following the recent formation of their mercenary company, a trader calling himself "Honest" Jim approaches the leaders of the Ebon Hand mercenary company to discuss a job he needs done. He speaks to them of the Scarab Trade Company, informing them that he has a planned sabotage to cause a brief stop of one of his competitor's caravans, and asking them to make sure said caravan never reaches its destination. After some brief price negotiations, they Agree to take the job, despite the woman Iri's protests. The mercenaries (sans Iri) head off toward the region Jim had indicated on a map for them, but when they get there they discover the woman trying to stalk them from the shadows. After a brief altercation between Liam and Iri, Iri is rendered unconscious and tied up and left in the bushes nearby to be dealt with later. Moving on the mercenaries had to deal with the region's local fauna, including several lions and even a pack of flightless, meat-eating birds. Eventually they reach the caravan, and take the driver hostage in an attempt to get the guards to lay down their arms. The captain of the guard whistles loudly and reinforcements appear from further back in the wagon train. A battle ensues, and the guards are killed, but the mercenaries spare the driver and his assistant after a lengthy and frightening interrogation, allowing them to walk off under their own power. They decide to go above and beyond the call of duty, actually driving the caravan back and delivering the goods to "Honest" Jim. On the way back they discover Iri has escaped her bonds and vanished, but think little of it as they continue on their way. Jim finds a list of the Scarab Company's clients within one of the wagons and gives the Ebon Blade a bonus in their pay, offering his genuine thanks to them for getting the job done.
Rewards:
2000 XP or GP for each player
15000 gold given to Greil for completion of their contract (hopefully split among the group!)
Shift towards lawful/evil for most involved, except Iri who received a shift towards good
The warm, fuzzy feeling of an honest day's work for an honest day's pay
