Evil characer raising people

So one of my characters is CE. I keep finding myself taking people to the temple to get rasied, but it does not fit him to do so. I find myself helping people where my character would not. I feel bad to just leave some dead somewhere and they lose an hour or hours even days of play time due to not being helped. Some on the other hand he helps out of self interest but other he would more than likely go through there pockets and keep going. How to aproach this with out being a total a.....

Treat them like they are your servant for life after you raise them. See even your charity is self motivated

Had the same thing happen to me... was saved by a certain orc/halforc and now owe him my life and a favor to be called in sometime in the future. Also am likely to become a pawn in his evil schemes of which he has many... some of which though are against those I also would like to see dead or worse heheheh.

Well my first suggestion would be to try and talk to the player whose character you were about to raise. Try to see if you two can come to some sort of an agreement, you never know, it might produce some awesome roleplay down the road.

If your character finds enjoyment in messing with people's heads, and creating chaos in their lives, you can always come up with imaginative lies when you raise them.

Ofc leaving them on to rot is perfectly fine as well, no one should get offended because of that.

There are plenty of ways to play if off

With the Chaotic side you could place it down to an erratic nature. or as Grunts says treat them like their indebt to you and really drive that point home excessively like a loan shark.

Depending on your characters history or dogma you might even find interesting ways to twist and interpret them to help further your characters goals and development.

I feel the same way as you do about feeling bad, most times I play it off that I found them so close to death that more powerful healing magic was required to bring them back around.

Some reasons to raise others as chaotic evil that ive used in the past:


Just because you feel like it.
Lets do it and see what happens!

Because doing so might hurt someone you dislike and bring chaos.
Sick em!

Make them or their friend/-s indebted to you in some way.
Lip service counts too.

Make them or their friends repay you in some way.
Ive had toons assassinate for my toon this way.

Make them or their friends pay you.
Cash is good, buys you nice things and people to promote your agenda.

Because right now them being alive assure your survival.
Very true in many cases of exploration and social endevours, let them soak the pain and woe in your place.

As an easy solution, if you can't reach an agreement OOCly to RP the raising, your char can demand some gold to aid him/her fulfill his/her evil plans (whatever they are).
