Re: unarmed mastery for fighters?
Why would it work though ? Unarmed mastery means fighting with both arms, not just one. Maybe the benefits could be halved while having something on the off hand i guess.

Pffff! Unarmed means you're fighting without arms, obviously! You're kicking instead!Valefort wrote:Why would it work though ? Unarmed mastery means fighting with both arms, not just one. Maybe the benefits could be halved while having something on the off hand i guess.

Re: unarmed mastery for fighters?
Why should it not ?
As you cannot dualwield fists in the nwn2 engine
If that would be possible, then i could understand why it shouldn't.
And any other melee mastery works with anything in the offhand.

Don't you dual wield fists by default ?

I believe he's referring to not getting the extra attacks associated with dual-wielding 'fists' - you just get the standard attacks for that, whether you've got unarmed training or the Two-weapon fighting feats.

Yes but on the animation doesn't your character use both fists ? I can't honestly remember for certain.Considerate_ wrote:I believe he's referring to not getting the extra attacks associated with dual-wielding 'fists' - you just get the standard attacks for that, whether you've got unarmed training or the Two-weapon fighting feats.

I can't recall if it uses both fists, but I know it kicks... Honestly my eyes are pretty poor, there's a reason I got the idea to make a blind bard

They use.
There's a front arm jab and a strong back arm punch. There's also a backhand with the front hand.

Re: unarmed mastery for fighters?
Unarmed is unarmed. Using a torch / shield isn't unarmed (esp with shield bash).
There are balance issues to allowing dual-wielding of fists / shield unarmed.
If you don't want to be monk/FoF/SF then you are better off asking for a 'brawler' class to be made rather than trying to make the fighter class more powerful when unarmed, because of the above points.
The feat is confusing though, it does makes you think it was made for fighters but I'm guessing it was made for monk/FoF/SF players who took fighter dip to enhance AB and therein lies the main problems for you.
E.g. If a fighter class can use a shield unarmed with no negatives then why can't the Monk / FoF / SF / Duellist do the same? Also, if all those other builds were suddenly able to dual-wield fists, whoa, what a build.
Like I said, balance issues mean there's a lot more to it.

Re: unarmed mastery for fighters?
thanks for the feedback folks, I was also looking to see if this server has created new fighter feats not listed in wiki...
