Background: Melias was born and raised in Silverymoon. His father was a soldier and always pressured his son to follow in his footsteps. Melias's mother, afraid that the life of a warrior would bring harm to her son, wanted Melias to be a scholar. Melias tried to appease both his parents and split his focus between the study of the martial and arcane arts. This caused Melias to lag behind his peers in both respects. Melias grew frustrated with his shortcomings as a fighter and began to hate those who he trained with that could outperform him. He spent long hours researching a way to enhance his abilities and defeat his enemies (ironically, this was the most honest work he put into any of his studies) After learning of Myrkul, a mortal man who, through sheer force of will, ascended to godhood Melias began to worship the god of the dead in secret
Through his studies and worship of Myrkul Melias learned of a way he could improve his power. He decided to make an infernal pact with the devil mephistopheles. Melias pledged his service to the devil in exchange for immense power. To prove his devotion Melias was asked to destroy his sparring partners. These were so called friends of Melias's who he had known for the majority of his youth But the young elf carried out the task unblinkingly. Melias realized how easy i was to fight with his newfound power and, with his infernal pact now sealed in blood, left his home under the cover of night to evade justice for his crimes and to seek the ultimate power he desired.
Goals: to gain strength and become immortal.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Melias was taught by his father to hate drow so anything regarding the destruction of the drow. Melias could be called to perform a favor for mephistopheles at any time. Melias believes in good luck charms and wears many on his armor at all times.
