It takes a while for Telia to emerge from the cell she shared with Ameris and when she does so. A dress has been pulled on but her hair has not been tended to and her face is unpainted. She looks very annoyed.

She rubs her temples as she grumbles and makes her way down the stairs.

If Herran is still in the Temple... she would cast a Silence spell on the infirmary as soon as she laid her eyes on him, if the man was still singing.

Mi-Le wakes up at the commotion. He hears the dangerous requiem trembling the walls and furniture downstairs. The monk closes his eyes and murmurs something under his breath. He seems to be speaking to someone or something, but a casual observer would not be able to see who or what. Those experienced with nature magic might be able to tell that two wards are being erected around the monk. ((Energy Immunity: Sonic and Owl's Insight))

The monk then opens his eyes and runs downstairs. He takes in the magically silent infirmary, and nods to Telia. Seeing Herran attempting to leave, Mi-Le approaches the bard before he can take his dangerous requiem into the city streets.

The monk says something which is lost in the magical silence. With his brows furrowed, looking like it's the last thing he wants to do, Mi-Le forms a fist and tries to strike the bard in the jaw in an attempt to knock him out. ((Stunning Fist, DC: 39))

Herran collapses as the blow connects and falls limp to the floor, his body continues to twitch and shudder as his "nightmare" seems to continue to haunt him, but silenced ... he is.

Telia stares as Mi-Le punches Herran unconscious. For a moment, she looks like she wants to swing at Mi-Li in return but she puts a lid on her fury and instead dispels the silence in the infirmary. After taking a deep breath, she speaks to the man, "Please place Herran back in his bed. Without more punches or bruises."

She rubs her face once more, expecting the man to follow through with her words under her observation.

[Ameris]...moving to the room the screaming woman is in.

He would check all the candles, then try and restrain the woman. He is hopeful that Reine or another temple resident is in and awoken, so that Shaytessa can be held safely while he blesses her.

"Hush now." He would say. "You are safe. You are safe here. Let me bless you." He aims to calm her.

Wild-eyed in terror the disheveled young woman abruptly turns to stare at Ameris, her left hand raised in a gesture of arcane warding, her right arm arched and crooked above her head, her fingers clutching an old wooden spoon.

Pointing the spoon towards Ameris, she recites,

"Ery, iry, ickery, Ann,
Fillisy, follosy, Nicholas John;
Quevy, quavy, Amnish navy,
Stinkulum, stankulum, buck!"

Wild-eyed in terror the disheveled young woman abruptly turns to stare at Ameris, her left hand raised in an gesture of arcane warding, her right arm arched and crooked above her head, her fingers clutching an old wooden spoon.

Pointing the spoon towards Ameris, she recites,

"Ery, iry, ickery, Ann,
Fillisy, follosy, Nicholas John;
Quevy, quavy, Amnish navy,
Stinkulum, stankulum, buck!"

Ameris stares open mouthed.

Then, he clasps his holy symbol and murmurs a prayer. "Ilmater ward this woman from the lash of suffering."

He casts a Protection from Evil on Shaytessa.

Upon recitation of Ameris' prayer, the young woman's expression goes lax, her steel blue eyes rolling back into her head as she collapses to the floor in a heap; the spoon rattling away under the bed

Telia stares as Mi-Le punches Herran unconscious. For a moment, she looks like she wants to swing at Mi-Li in return but she puts a lid on her fury and instead dispels the silence in the infirmary. The monk nods quietly and gingerly picks up the unconscious bard. He carries Herran back to his bed . . . without anymore punches or bruising. Once he lays the bard down, he tends to any bruising he caused.

Ameris would carry the woman to her bed and lay her out carefully, checking her breathing, pulse and temperature. He would arrange her so she will not fall out of the bed.

He would examine her for anything of note regarding her physical state.

The young woman appears to be unconscious, her pulse fast, erratic and weak, her breathing shallow her skin cool and clammy.

Shortly after she is placed into bed, her breathing and pulse strengthen.

Ink stains her fingers and hands, as well as some dried blood beneath her nails.

She does not smell as if she has bathed recently, and has what at seems to be bruises on her on arms, legs and stomach.

Closer examination of the bruises reveal that they, or at least most of them are not bruises at all, rather that that the young woman's body is covered in crude and sometimes smeared inking with what appears to be a haphazard collection of names, dates, drawings and bits of arcane formulae ranging from the simple to the most esoterically complex.

Several of designs appear to repeat, such as Shaytessa Iri, Margrethe, Balthus, Corthus, Narasida, Lashartanna, some kind of flying creature.

Large patches of ink mixed with blood appear to cover several sections of writing, leaving ominous purplish blotches with darker centers that obfuscate whatever the original writing contained.

Ameris's relief is evident when the woman seems to improve. He then investigates the bruises, and is surprised at what he sees. He stares at each design a long time, frowning, and his lips twitch when reading one of them.

Once he is done, he tucks her in and then stands, retrieving a second set of blankets from the top bunk to lay over the woman, minded to keep her warm. He then sits, thoughtful, for a little while, before departing. He would be careful to return to refresh the blessing against evil from time to time, and inform the other clergy of the need for such a thing so that they might do so too.

Herran it would seem has once again earned a place in the infirmary, though this time he is bound and gagged. Most times his eyes seem unfocused and he seems to not take notice of anyone around. At other times his eyes are pleading to get released from his bondage.

To those inquisitive minds who dig deeply though, they would find that he did more then shake a few walls with his songs when he was first brought in.

Ameris would be seen tending to Herran, almost obsessively, as if the act of having the man there bound and gagged weighed heavily on him.

Herran would be moved upstairs to one of the private rooms when Ameris was not in the infirmary; although visitors would be allowed up to him. Ameris would try and spend as long as he could and was allowed by his duties by the mans side, speaking to him of various things to avert his mind.

When the man's eyes looked the most lucid, and only when they are upstairs and alone, Ameris would bless himself against energy damage and remove the gag, to allow the man to speak himself.

Being bound and gagged the unfocused Herran often struggles against them.

Each time he does the parts of his body that he flexes and strains the hardest with become battered and bruised for no apparent reason, even his jaw and cheeks as he fights the gag.

During these struggles the pain can be seen in his face, but he does not stop until he is rendered unconscious by the unseen battering??

The times he awakens afterwards are the most common times that he is almost like his old self.
