**A thrice-folded paper addressed in a thin, delicate script of black ink is left with the staff of the Shelf of Many Books**

"To the Editor-in-Chief"

"Salutations Editor,

I am a newly arrived fledgling from the north seeking refuge in your fair city. I come poor and destitute and have no immediate means of establishing myself amongst the citizenry of Baldur's Gate. However I am not unlettered and am by no means unable to fend for myself by-the-by. Several days have passed since my arrival and your flyer has come to my attention. I would like to meet with you to discuss how I might fit in with The Herald. I am currently situated in the docks district and you can leave a message for me with the barkeep of the Blushing Mermaid, assuredly.

Sincerely,

Vilaca Luckless"

Telia can be seen walking to the Shelf of Many books the following day, carrying some papers. She greets the librarian with a smile and looks quite pleased when she is given a letter. She moves over to her desk, setting down the papers and opens the letter. Her eyebrows rise as she reads the contents and her eyes pause a moment at the surname. Luckless.

"This person better not be cursed by the Maid of Misfortune..." she mutters to herself as she reaches for an empty sheet of paper and her quill.
Vilaca Luckless,

Welcome to Baldur's Gate! I am delighted that you have seen the Herald's notice and shown interest. We can certainly set up a meeting. Perhaps this evening would be suitable or the following day...?

We are currently working on releasing the next issue, so I apologize in advance if I may suddenly become unavailable this eve or tomorrow. I will let you know of course, if that becomes the case.

Looking forward to meet you,

Signed,
Telia Santraeger
