*Nai brings them some hot food for the day this time its a delicately seasoned fish dinner she had caught and cooked fresh over the fire herself.. each piece of meat wrapped in a big leaf for easy handling along with a salad from the garden of mixed greens and chopped vegetables. She greets them with her traditional Dwarven greeting taught to her by Durin Ironfar when she first came out of the forest.*
Hail !
*She would stay and watch the group a moment, with her head tilted to the side gently to see what they were doing. Her eyes going wide and looking frantic as they speak of removing Herran's gag, she would run around the forest camp to the nearby animals and usher them away to a safe distance "just in case." *

As Kael departed from the camp site earlier, Telia would not have said anything in return to his words but anyone watching her later, would have noticed that she was a little bit more relaxed.
When Aeili offered the hushthorn tea, Telia put it to the side as she wants to wait till Herran is more responsive before pouring liquids down his throat. When the Mystran Priestess asks if she or Ameris has analyzed the magical threads around Herran, she shakes her head a bit. "My magic... has changed. If you could cast an Analyze Dweomer and what else you think necessary to try to analyze the threads of the weave... we would be most grateful."
Telia listens to Ameris explain what he has tried to do and then what Herran did. She nods as Ameris speaks of the song. She adds, "He spoke of hearing voices. None of us could hear anything, which is why we thought we should maybe try to find someone who can speak with spirits. I think Mi-Le tried to, in the Ilmateri Temple and found none... but maybe when Herran is out there, it is... different?" She frowns a bit, in thought.
"I also thought... that maybe a druid would be able to connect to whatever it is as well. I do not know much of druidic magic but I know they an undertake rituals and well... feel the nature around unlike anyone else. It is worth a try, as it could be some forest spirits as he still kept talking about trees."
As Nai comes around, Telia greets her in return and accepts the food with a grateful smile. "Nai, would you... perhaps be able to see if there is anything around Herran as well, forests spirits maybe...? I do not know."
When Herran shows curiosity at the paper she smiles at him, then looks back at Aeili. "I think he is fit enough. He is... well, he seem lucid now at least." Her eyes return to Herran and she leans in to kiss his cheek lightly, "Aeili will do some examinations now. Do not be afraid, we all wish you well."
She removes the gag from Herran after Nai is prepared.

In his post gag raspy voice he simply states The only thing I fear my dear dear Telia, is that somehow during all this I should harm you ... or one of the others. While he tries to smile warmly to each of them, one at a time, the concern is real and is easily read on his face.
He would of course accept any drink or food Telia should offer him. Thank you so much, for all you have done for me Telia. Ameris is so obviously the luckiest man in all Faerun. No matter what else happens ... know that I ... He finishes with a heartfelt smile.
He then focuses his attention on Aeili Do with me whatever you feel is necessary. He bows his head respectively My trust ... and fate ... at least for the next few moments are entirely in your hands. His tone is one of confidence in her abilities, with an undertone of concern for his own yet to be seen reactions to the magics.

Re: En Dharasha Everae RP thread
"Well, having now read your little poetic riddle I will only suppose that you are in the wrong forest. . ." she said after spending some time thinking about it. "You may, although I strongly caution against it, instead need to journey to the Reaching Woods as it was that particular forest which was recently overrun by the Talonite cult and their undead forces. I am lead to believe that they do not linger there en-masse, but the forest has been defiled by their presence and some may yet linger . . . I cannot think of a better interpretation of that apparently prophetic rhyme, although exactly what was meant by the foul tree I am not quite sure. . . a treant perhaps?"
"Now," she said once more while gripping her little gemstone instrument, "this is a tool by which I am going to attempt a divination of your curse. I would like you to look at it while I channel the magic into you. It will cause no harm; at most you may feel a slight tingling sensation."
The priestess then cast Analyse Dweomer, channelled through the ruby focus, and she paused as she gathered the necessary information about any magical weaves that were upon him.

He chuckles lightly The only thing i know of the forest ... is it is somewhere between Baldurs Gate and home. The problem being ... His brows furrow a moment in thought I have no idea where home is. The only clue I have is the letter I received from there. His hand reflexively covers a pocket in his armor.
Anyways! he smiles once more to her Let's get this started, shall we? I always look forward to new sensations ... especially tingly ones. He laughs lightly, then watches her gemstone closely as she begins to cast.
As her spell begins he at first simply smiles, but, that quickly turns to a look of terror as his body becomes bloodied and bruised as if beaten to near death with blunt weapons. He erupts with his own outburst of curses, requiems and random songs showering forth in all directions, though completely unfocused and not directed at any one or anything in particular.
The end result of her findings, aside from any damage or harm Herran may have done, would be that he apparently has 6 layers of curses upon him. Three quite powerful. Three extremely complex.
Herran lays passed out and barely breathing, eyes swollen shut, his body bloodied and bones fractured.

Telia looks between Aeili and Herran and then sits prepared with a gag, if need be. It soon turns out it may be needed and as Herran begins to sing, she puts back the gag in his mouth - unless Aeili indicates for her not to.
As she notices the wounds begin to form, she begins to sing herself. She looks horrified but does not let her emotions mark her song. It is soft and soothing, and healing magic would wash over Herran to take away the worst of the wounds.

Re: En Dharasha Everae RP thread
Ameris looks pensive at Aeili's words of the meaning of the poem.
"The Reaching Woods...do you think the darkness referred to is the Talonite blight upon the place? I suppose it is worth a try, visiting such a place. Yet dangerous. Another possibility is the depths of the Cloakwood? There are corrupted treants there."
The priest seems at a loss, though, as to the meaning of the poem. "Do you think this is a literal place then, Priestess Aeili?" But then he answers himself. "Best for us to speculate after you have divined what you can."
Ameris watches the divination and witnessing the wounds appear fills Ameris with horror. As Telia begins to sing healing, Ameris would step forward too; casting a powerful healing blessing upon the man with an invocation of the Broken God.

The healing song and magics immediately take hold. Herran is soon breathing normally and his wounds heal as such things would normally do, but, he remains unconscious, in a fit full sleep. He would recoil sharply away from any touch that might be attempted his way.

After ducking for cover during the commotion, Aeili regathered her composure and inspected the gemstone carefully. She kept glancing between it and the jinxed bard, careful to observe him being tended to by Telia and Ameris as he slipped once more into unconsciousness.
"This is far worse than I anticipated," she commented with a rather glum and matter-of-fact tone of voice as she stared into the contents of the gemstone. She looked up at the others briefly before eventually speaking further.
"It seems the only clue we have to go off at the moment is that riddle, and I must confess I am rather uncertain about my initial interpretation of it. Thoughts of the Reaching Forest came to mind because that is where a great evil has come of late, but if Herran himself has never been there I suppose it would be fair to conclude that his riddle is not really pointing that way," she admitted as the creases of concern began to appear on her worried forehead.
"Alternatively, the word 'tree' in his riddle could be symbolic of the actual witch who cursed him, and that she is now seeking revenge over his escape from her clutches. I suppose the only conclusion is that Herran himself must be brought to face her, and that only he can end this. I could suggest that, if this is the case, he be warded with a Non-Detection spell so that the witch will have great difficulty locating his whereabouts, and perhaps give you all an edge in your undoubted preparations to assist him in this quest." The priestess paused for some time at this point and once again stared into her gemstone.
"Friends, I will return shortly. I wish to consult the archmagi and ask their opinions of the matter. Ameris, may I please have that poem for the meantime?" She looked up at them once more, eager and ready to hear anything else they wished to comment about before preparing to return to the elvish village for the time being.

Re: En Dharasha Everae RP thread
Ameris sighs with relief as Herran settles. He then listens to Aeili's words.
"What did you see, priestess? How is his curse worse than you expected?
I concur that it seems likely the tree is a metaphor for the one who authored this curse, given how he has drawn pictures giving the tree an evil, female face- provided his subconscious does not author this. Finding the witch will be difficult; but keeping Herran hidden from hostile eyes is a sound plan.
I wonder, priestess, did you learn anything that suggests that simply a more powerful casting of remove curse will help? I am a junior priest, my prayers are heartfelt but not the strongest. Perhaps a more powerful caster, or casting of arcane and divine blessings together, or even just multiple casters, will help?"

"Let me consult first with Kael, Ameris, and I will return promptly," the priestess politely replied, not being wholly evasive but rather wishing to tread carefully before making too-hasty a diagnosis. And with those words she departed the glade for a time.

Ameris tilts his head at Aeili's answer, then smiles and nods. "We will await you, Priestess. I will keep Herran stable."
After she departs, Ameris would turn to Nai if she was still present. "Nai, did you see anything strange while Herran was taken like that? I wonder if a druid might have seen something that others might not."
As he waits for an answer, he moves to Telia, a comforting arm put around her as he speaks softly. "Progress is made, my love."

* After Telia asks her, Nai would cast Commune with Nature then crouch down and concentrate intently all around on the surroundings of the forest. Having cast immunity to sonic, Herrans aweful singing (in her opinion since he wasn't a wolf) would have no affect on her and she seemed to be able to keep her concentration even though every fiber of her being wanted to run or fight. *Nomster wrote: As Nai comes around, Telia greets her in return and accepts the food with a grateful smile. Level:
Animal 5, Drd 5, Rgr 4
Components:
V, S
Casting time:
10 minutes
Range:
Personal
Target:
You
Duration:
Instantaneous
You become one with nature, attaining knowledge of the surrounding territory. You instantly gain knowledge of as many as three facts from among the following subjects: the ground or terrain, plants, minerals, bodies of water, people, general animal population, presence of woodland creatures, presence of powerful unnatural creatures, or even the general state of the natural setting.
In outdoor settings, the spell operates in a radius of 1 mile per caster level. In natural underground settings—caves, caverns, and the like—the radius is limited to 100 feet per caster level. The spell does not function where nature has been replaced by construction or settlement, such as in dungeons and towns.
(( back to you Paw, feel free to state what she would have gained from that.

(Nai would have seen, and I assume report to the others that spirits had risen from the floor of the forest and caused the brutal attack on Herran, leaving once again after he fell unconscious. Other then that, nothing else would seem to affect the forest itself, aside from Herrans random songs.)

Re: En Dharasha Everae RP thread
Aeili returned some time later, bearing a pensive expression upon her face as she approached Ameris particularly. She beckoned him, and Telia if necessary, to step away from Herran's side for a moment.
"Ameris, we are dealing with six different and inter-weaved curses that have been placed upon him," she said in a hushed, low voice, glancing between him and the bound man. "Each result in different effects, including loss of memory, disorientation caused expressly by forested areas, aggressive defensiveness bound to mental confusion causing him to see friends as enemies, apparent self-harming which is actually caused by some kind of malevolent spirit creatures, and a capstone curse which binds them all together into one and tied to the life-force of the transmuter who placed them upon him." Her emerald-turquoise eyes fluttered in a sign of significant anxiety as she made a timely pause.
"I'm. . . I'm afraid there will be no easy fix. The sophistication of the interlocking threads of magic involved in these curses is far beyond my ability to deal with them. Where-ever he has been, he has surely been held there for much longer than he lets on. Such powerful curses would require many lengthy rituals to bind them all as one. . .I . . . I am at a loss what to suggest you do with him," she confessed with a low, saddened tone of voice.
"I would think that the combined magics of a Magefire ceremony might suffice to break it, but such a rite is permissible only to the initiated of Mystra. I'm sorry. . . there is nothing more I am able to do for him." She again paused. If it was not already clear by now, it would seem that something is weighing very heavily upon the priestess as she prepared to make her next statement.
"I. . . I do not think it is safe to keep him here any longer. He will need to be kept away from forested areas. I can offer to ward him from scrying magic but it will not last more than about 40 hours or so, and yet somehow I suspect it will be altogether insufficient to prevent this witch from finding him if that is what she is wanting to do. I. . . I could ask Archmage Kael to cast such an abjuration; his magic is far more adept than my own," she offered by way of last ditch consolation. "It may be enough to give you two to three days to decide what you will do. But since you are here as Mendel's guests, it is his word which will decide whether you are to leave or stay."
