Thoughts on GTWF Frezerker? Fighter 14/FB 5/Tempest 4/WM 7
Is this a bad bad idea? Anyone have a better version, or any suggested improvements?

It's great except for the frenzied berserker. TWF doesn't have the AB to spare for improved power attack. Replace it with whirling dervish 3, tempest 5 and get expose. That even leaves you room to get improved crit, ICE and blindfight.

Consider Fighter (12), Weapon Master (7), Frenzied Berserker (8), Tempest (3),
as you get +10STr while frenzying
Would probably do more damage with a single weapon, but i like the concept.

Major issue I see is that for some reason you are missing two hand fighting before you get improve two hand fighting which is need for tempest.

Huh. That is at level 4, but for some reason it's not showing up. Weird.

Is this build for a new character, or an existing one? What are you trying to do with this build?

Are you firm on the race? I have a really fun dwarf build that is very similar to this I've wanted to try out...

Re: Thoughts on GTWF Frezerker? Fighter 14/FB 5/Tempest 4/WM
Neither, TBH. Sometimes I just play around on nwn2db. If one of my characters dies in the future, I might RCR them into this build, though.Steve wrote:Is this build for a new character, or an existing one?
I've seen the damage that a F/FB/WM can do, and I was wondering if you could reach those numbers with two weapons instead of one (double the fun??). I know that using two hands on one weapon multiplies the STR damage by x1.5.Steve wrote:What are you trying to do with this build?
Dual wielding with only GTWF will mean that the main hand only does x1.0 STR damage. The offhand will deal x0.5 STR damage (and only three times).
But how will the damage from Improved Power Attack/Enhanced Power Attack multiply with GTWF? Will its damage also be multiplied by x1.0 in the main hand and x0.5 in the offhand, or will it be a straight +10 damage in both hands? If it is the latter, then I will be quite tempted to actually make this character. If it is the former, then Theodore01 is probably right when he says that a single weapon would probably do more damage.

Not firm on the race at all, but I just generally like to RP humans. Less lore-intensive, easier to RP.Selande wrote:Are you firm on the race? I have a really fun dwarf build that is very similar to this I've wanted to try out...

Highest dmg build I've ever made is woodelf, orc or earth genasi all str. Dualwielding scimitars.
21 ranger 4 fighter 5 weaponmaster.
23 ranger 7 weaponmaster.
Various variants.
I forget which, but I have one of those. I have JEGS test builds of both though. Talking like ~800 dmg/round on an equal level monster.
Which beats my single-wielding WM/FB by about 250 dmg/round.

Re: Thoughts on GTWF Frezerker? Fighter 14/FB 5/Tempest 4/WM
Okay well I've wanted to make a dwarven defender 10, wm 7, fighter 8, tempest 5.
It has "fun" amounts of AC and huge DR so it really doesn't care about being a shirtless battleaxe dualwielding man-beast. With epic DR and regen feats.
I haven't done this yet though cuz dwarves suck to RP. I only know like 3 dwarf types and they're all belligerent drunks...
(key stats being enough Con for regen 6 and enough in the other stats to get weaponmaster and big str)
I have considered rolling a female dwarf with this build... Seems more fun than the obvious male equivalent.

Just get Races of Faerun. It's basically an instruction manual on how to RP non-humans.
Also
How does that thingy fare for damage? If you're going high con, you also need 17 dex and 13 intelligence. I can't imagine str getting higher than ~20?

Only need 13 dex methinks.
And I've never tested it. It's just been one of those theorycraft builds I've had for ages that I never bothered to put real effort into.
Doesn't get PTWF but doesn't really need it either...

What about 20 ranger/5 weaponmater/5 tempest or 20 ranger/7 wm/3 tempest? Not sure if it's even possible but I'd think the bonuses from tempest would be a really nice addition.Selande wrote:Highest dmg build I've ever made is woodelf, orc or earth genasi all str. Dualwielding scimitars.

Also could consider 20 rang/7 wm/3 WD to get imp evasion and expose weakness.
