New player here, a quick question.

Hello all,

I'm new here, and going to create a character soonish, I hope . I'm just wondering if there is a place I can download the files required for the server directly? The auto downloader has me downloading at only 100k... it's going to take several hours to finish. I don't know why it's so slow, I forwarded my ports and such, but it made no difference. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Oh, another quick unrelated question, Moander is listed under the Gods that aren't dead yet... does this mean I can play a cleric of Moander? Because... yeah, that would be absolutely amazing. If not it's cool. Just wondering.

I noticed that Moander isn't actually in the Domain listing so perhaps it has not actually been properly incorporated as an in-game deity choice.

The above post implies that it should be selectable though.

Yeah, I was reading that, but just wasn't sure. I guess once I'm in game I can just check . Thanks. Oh, and as a side note, I downloaded everything from the download list, and was left with 800ish MB left to download, so I went and got the complete one file one, and still had 500ish MB to download, so it maybe needs updated? I don't know. Cheers.

Hey jwalker524, welcome to the server.


Moander is not available as a deity on the server. The god is currently banished from Faerun and his avatar is imprisoned below Yulash. His priesthood survives, but they are nothing more than cultists. Since the deity is banished from this plane, I think he can only grant up to level 3 spells to his cultists, but I'm not sure. Unless they are backed by another deity who pretends to be Moander (like Llolth did after Moander was slain). This would probably be a good question for the DM team.

There was a server-wide plot around the cult of Moander 2 years ago, it was ran by DM Ogorgon if I remember correctly.


Now that I think about it, there are probably some deities that are alive at this point in Forgotten Realms that have been overlooked. Orcus comes to mind (he was a god up until 1357. when Gareth Dragonsbane banished him from Faerun).

Auto download always takes forever... does not matter which server they all take at minimum at least 1 hour and usually at least 2-3 hours. Just have to be patient and wait. Try watching tv, reading a book, or playing another pc game while you wait. Makes it go much faster that way.
