Re: Grand Trade Wagon of the Goldhands - Baldur's Gate
Tad would come one again to the stall where vast selection of exceptional quality items are presented. One again he would look onto different wares, his gaze fix on one, then on another, giving several of them more time and consideration, passing without interest empty places where descriptions of already sold items lay.
He would greet Goldhands in calm and elaborate manner.
"My name is Tad. I see exceptional suit of mithral armor still offered for sale and trade. Probably thats because you have at least several of these, and this is not the first one sold, and, most probably, not the last. Or there is not that much interest in those this days as it was before...
Should we consider 200 bags of gold a valid bid on it, if no one else would offer more, or may it be possible to take a time for you to apprise and choose some from my items available for tarde? Most of them are listed here *he would show a bit worn out note, where some list with corrections is written in small neat script*. Almost any of them, or maybe bunch of them I would quite likely trade for this suit you have here."
//Placing a bid of 200 bags for Mithral Fullplate or offering to choose items for trade.

Re: Grand Trade Wagon of the Goldhands - Baldur's Gate
*Wai Li on her most recent trip to Baldur's Gate stops by the Goldhands' trade wagon, peruses the wares, then notices two of interest and speaks politely to the attending merchant.*
"Good day to you, sir. *She smiles warmly.* I am Wai Li, a paladin of the Everwach Knights of Helm. I believe I purchased something from you many months ago if you might remember. I hope you have faired well since. To business today, I would like to please make a trade for the belt and helmet ((Belt Paladin spell level 3, helmet paladin spell level 4)) that seem to offer additional divine spell casting powers to a Paladin by trade. These would prove most useful in efforts to confront the evils rampant in the realms. I would propose trading you one or possibly even two of the following three items for these: a very sturdy Tower Shield ((Tower Shield +4)), a helmet that gives the wearer greater stamina and fortitude in his or her travels ((Helmer +3 constitution)), and an amulet that gives the wearer resistance to magic and some protection from attacks ((Amulet SR 28, natural armor +1, and +? to mind attacks.)) What say you, could we make a deal? Regardless, thank you for your time."
*She waits patiently for a reply.*

Her offer to the dwarves having gone ignored, miss Shalar leaves the premises without a further word.

Re: Grand Trade Wagon of the Goldhands - Baldur's Gate
Tad would review the new stock, whistle excitedly, and write a note
"As always, exceptional selection you have. Few items at once are of interest to me, I 'd like to bid for them, and offer some trade
50 bags for an Amulet +3 Universal Saves
for an armor suit Fullplate, +4 AC, 10% slashing, 10% piercing I would offer plain suit of Fullplate +4 AC, and 200 bags of gold
for a Gloves +4 EB, +2 divine, good only I offer a Shocking Longsword (EB+4, 1d4 electric), and 50 bags of gold.
I would also offer a suit of clothing with some quite rare combination of enchantments (Cloth AC +4, Cha +3, Spell Immunity:Grease) to trade for pair of Boots AC+4, Spot +1.
Also if you happen to have in possession but just not listed here an item praised by most priests, enlightening wearers beyond earthly measures (Wisdom +4 item, not armor/boots/weapon) I may offer matching item for trade - belt of extreme beauty (Cha +4, Str +1 belt, no UMD req.)
Name Tad. Waiting for reply."

Re: Grand Trade Wagon of the Goldhands - Baldur's Gate
Draviir stops by the stall, hearing of all the quality items on display ... "Well, well, well. Now this is more like it!" His eyes stop on two or three items in particular. "Good dwarf, that shortsword and that warhammer. I'll offer 1.5 million and 750 bags respectively! How does that sound?" He awaits the dwarf's response...
///
1.5 million bid on the shortsword EB+3, Hide+5, MS+4,Cold+1d4
750k bid on the warhammer EB+4, Fire+1d4, Str+3, Heal+4

Re: Grand Trade Wagon of the Goldhands - Baldur's Gate
A one-eyed man clad in dark-tinted plate approaches the wagon. His gaze sweeps over the various wares displayed, taking note of some and showing little interest for others. His eye finally fixes on one of the rings. He leans over it inspecting it some more, then turns to one of the dwarves holding up four fingers.
"Forty tradebars for the ring."

Re: Grand Trade Wagon of the Goldhands - Baldur's Gate
Priestess Aeili, having recently returned to Baldur's Gate, notices that the Goldhands has another fine cloak for sale.
"Mm, delightful fabric and exquisite enchantment work. I should wonder if it will sell for as much as the last one did. I should like to set forth an initial offer of 750,000 gold pieces, or their equivalent in trade bars kept at the First Bank of Baldur's Gate."
