"Alms! Alms for the poor!"
A ragged priest wanders the roads between Baldur’s Gate and Nashkel, collecting alms for the needy and distributing food and aid where he can. On his travels he also reveals detailed and carefully scribed maps of what is said to be the minotaur labyrinth in the Cloakwood forest. Offering them to the occasional adventurer and experienced looking traveller, in exchange for donations to the church of Ilmater and alms for the poor. Rags is said to carry around a small bundle, containing only a limited and ever dwindling number of such maps. Each map appears marked and numbered in a special way.

On his travels, the ragged priest either explored the Netherese ruins or found a map detailing their secrets. For he is seen asking a considerable donation in exchange for such a map. The priest makes clear that, to his knowledge, only one such map exists. From what can be seen at glance, the map marks a dizzying number of portals, doorways, and rooms within the confines of some maze. A path also appears to be marked across the maze, leading up to some untold destination. Before anything else can be learned from gazing at this map, the priest would roll it back up and place it within a wooden case.
