Dwarven defender build

Unread post by Zinnestro »

I went through 40 pages and could not find one. Can anyone out there build me a stellar dwarven defender?

Another alternative is F12/DD10/MaA5/Rogue3. That way you can built it around iron full plate instead of Mithral and end up with the same AC. If you go that way, you need to take MaA5 at level 30 in order to fit all Fighter epic feats.

Have you looked in the nwn2 builder?

I found one of Thorsson's: http://nwn2db.com/build/?197997

Depends on what your prime, and secondary goal if the DD build is. Clearly DD is meant for great AC, but what about the other. One can go from heavy focused build, something that greatly excels at one thing at the cost of the others, a more over all balanced, or something in-between. All depends on your goal, and how much your enjoy it in the long run.
AC can be boosted further at a minor cost to damage, or options. Damage is low, but this can be upped in a few ways with a minor to medium loss in over all durability. Over all durability can be boosted to the max, most often at the cost of damage.
I've run a DD for years on the server as my main, I greatly enjoy him. Though I also notice disadvantages on him I'd change if I was willing to drop from 30 to level 20 to fix them lol.

But what about this thread?

Mrm3ntalists suggestion is a good poor man's dwarven defender. Just pick the right feats. You do want expose weakness and epic weapon specialization for offense, and epic damage reduction for defence.

Yeah, I believe all class DR's stack. It does seem there is a max class DR 15 though, at least in testing it looked that way.

This is plain WRONG!

In general DRs do not stack, except the ones through special Feats, like EDR and Epic Resilience.

Medium or Heavy armor specialization doesn't stack with anything.

Dwarven defender stacks with epic damage reduction only.

Annointed Knight or Warrior of Darkness only stack with epic damage damage reduction.

Barbarian damage reduction stack with greater resiliency and epic damage reduction.

---

The maximum DR is 18, pure barbarian with greater resiliency :)
