Are there any good builds on NWN2db?
I keep copying some of the top voted builds changing the name and publishing them as new builds and people keep commenting on how horrible they are.
So are the builds really bad?

The Kama build is the one I'm using right now. And the other one is one I'm looking at doing as a side project or something.
Feedback would be nice.

Some of the comments are legitimate, but the nwn2db community is largely powergame focused and not fully aware of BGTSCC's custom setup.

Focus entirely on builds that have "BGTSCC:" in the name of the build. You can also just ask on this forum about builds suitable to what you want to play. Preferred weapon, what you want to be good at, feats and skills you really want to have etc.
However, keep in mind that if you want something fairly good, do mention this. Say that you do want to be a bit powerful. Otherwise, you might be fooled into playing Valeforts, Simian or Steves "cool character", that may or may not require a +8 wisdom item to even be playable

Not really true on either count. 1. The focus is on making sensible decisions, at least those that most frequently comment. 2. Most are aware of what generally works on BGTSCC.Aspect of Sorrow wrote:Some of the comments are legitimate, but the nwn2db community is largely powergame focused and not fully aware of BGTSCC's custom setup.
What J0akes has done has taken non-BG specific builds; some that are old, some that were over-voted for various reasons and some that are simply not suitable for BGTSCC. He's also specifying PvP, which probably isn't going to work out well.

first of all this server is a RP server with guilds and it could be funny for some change on the class but if you have a backgound story for you char you will build it after that

As already mentioned, the builds with BGTSCC in the name usually heeds to our 3b20 rule.
That being said, some already have mentioned the prospect of "Power vs Flavor". You can go for pure powerhouses with no skills or personality at all, or the other ditch where you end up having 45-60 in several skills but have an ab/ac/dc/hp of a headless chicken. Some rare builds have both flavor and power, but leans heavily towards one or a few themes duo to server/class/race restrictions.

I should have picked up on this. Some just have BG; plus there are good builds that would work here with a little tweaking.Karond wrote:Focus entirely on builds that have "BGTSCC:" in the name of the build.
Still, the best thing is to ask on these forums.
