First Name: Frann
Last Name: N/A
Appearance:
Race: Human
Age: 34
Height 6'0"
Weight: 170 lbs
Eyes: Light brown
Hair: Dark brown
Facial Hair Style: Short trimmed beard
Description: A man with chiselled jaw slightly slanted to his left and covered by a short trimmed beard. His brown almond shaped eyes always appear sluggish, and coupled with a lengthy, crooked aquiline nose seems to suggest that he is absent-minded and lethargic. His hair is dark brown, unkempt and pushed back. Tall and wiry, his skin is tanned, and could pass off as ruggedly handsome if not for the two scars he sports across his right cheek and his asymmetric nose and jaw. He usually wears a cynical frown, occasionally glaring from side to side to take note of his surroundings. Each step he takes has a dispassionate reluctance to it, like he isn't particularly keen on taking another. ((slightly below average charisma score))
Personality Profile:
General Health: Robust. Wiry strength ((high strength score)), very nimble ((very high dexterity score)), and decent endurance ((slightly above average constitution score)).
Deity: Akadi
Initial Alignment: Neutral Evil, in the sense that he is a self-centered, expedient pragmatist with no qualms about inflicting pain, treachery and killing for self gain and survival. However, he would not go out of his way to anything considered classically evil unless he is sure that the reward outweighs the risk.
Profession: Mercenary, adventurer, wanderer
Base Class & Proposed Development: Ranger, rogue, whirling dervish
Habits/Hobbies: Carousing, womanising, fighting, being involved in nature
Languages: Common
Equipment of Choice: During battle, Frann dons a round topped nasal helmet extended with cheek plates, and a leather scale vest. Should the need arise, he may also put on a short sleeved mail byrnie for additional protection. A brown scabbard is strapped tightly onto the left side of his waist, housing a longsword with a wide cross guard, and a heavy pommel in the shape of the head of a majestic bald eagle. The long, double edged blade has a plain, narrowly fullered cross-section and a profile taper. Not nearly as well decorated as the hilt, it was evidently forged with practicality over allure in mind. On the other side of his waist, an unembellished arming sword hangs loosely from his belt. You count a total of three knives tucked into his belts, the largest among them a kukri sheathed just above his hip, handle worn out and grimy from prolonged use. A wooden bow can sometimes be seen slung over his shoulder with a quiver on his back.
Background: Born to a tavern wench, Frann never knew his father and lived with his mother until she died of sickness when he was only fifteen. He lived as a street urchin in Scornubel until he found work with the Red Shields Mercenary Company, spending most of his time providing protection for caravans around Western Faerûn. Long days and nights spent in the wilds with caravans has sparked his love for the nature. He has been in several skirmishes during his work, one where he was struck in the face with by a man with a flanged mace, which dislocated his jaw and gave him two distinctive scars.
He decided to leave the Red Shields after payment disputes. Escorting the caravan to Baldur's Gate was his last job.
Goals: He is ambitious, and seeking opportunities to advance himself from his position in society.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Frann's lowborn heritage is the main cause for his ambitions. ((This character is heavily inspired by mercenaries from a number of fantasy novels, mainly Bronn from A Song of Ice and Fire and Nicomo Cosca from The First Law.))
