With the arrival of the supplies one would find Kory at the docks helping the inspection along and making sure the Elturel supplies are put separate of the troops supplies so as to get them out to Elturel with post haste. He might inquire about the possibility of the Dragonwing running the Chiontar up to Elturel or if the ship was too large for the river to run it. If not able to be run by ship to the city Kory would immediately look to get caravans organized to run by land instead.
////Okay so would love to run these good by ship as the city is surrounded currently in the timeline for this RP? The Elturel supplies of tents, healing things and fresh clothing and such are all to be separated off and the sum of the goods subtracted from Kory's gold on PC.

Aidan having kept quietly to himself, the rest of the travel back to the Gate, would be busy about his work. Upon entering port among the commotion of the teamingly alive deck his attentions would be on turning down sails, storing extra sheets below and returning barrels to where they were gathered from. He would offer his nod to the captain, await any response before returning to help his own crew with whatever remained to be done

After a drunken night of revelry and debauchery while in Waterdeep the Dragonwing's Chief Tactical Officer would be seen staggering back to the Dragonwing just prior to departure. She would spend much of the journey back to the Gate curled up in her hammock below the deck of the ship - though she should venture above deck and ask the Captain if she could steer the ship only to have her request promptly rebuked - thus crushing all the hopes and aspirations she never really had in the first place.

Re: The Baldur's Gate - Waterdeep cargo run
Koba was largely absent in Waterdeep and during the journey back to Baldur's Gate. While the crews of both ships were taking rest or attending to their vessels, he was not seen, the only sign he was alive being increasing rumours of elven merchant asking around about various wares.
Apparently, Koba inquired about a wide range of goods, not just healing supplies and tents he was supposed to purchase. One could begin to wonder if he was deliberately creating turmoil to draw attention from his real objectives... No, that couldn't be it. Koba was also obviously approaching all the traders that were willing to talk, even if they were clearly unable to deliver required quantities of goods that were supposed to be delivered on board of Dragonwing and the Whistling Wanderess. Rumours trickling to the crews would suggest the elven merchant was about to procure the goods in small batches from numerous sources to keep the prices down. As such approach would take a long time, it increased the worries the ships will not make it back in time because the Sword Coast Commercial Exchange put profit before the lives of Baldur's Gate defenders...
Koba walked around the markets and talked only to readily available merchants. He kept his negotiations succinct and without going into great details and making any commitments. This allowed him to wade through the bazaars relatively quickly, learning what he could about the sentiment in the markets for goods he was after. Once he gauged the demand and supply and determined what prices he may get for required quantities, he quickly foreclosed all the deals without negotiating much further.
After loading the cargo on the ships he disappeared below deck again. If someone went down to see him, he would see the blue-haired elf finalizing the parchment work for Church of Ilmater and the Hunters.

After arriving to Baldur's Gate and unloading the cargo, Koba would tell Koryeneer that the Sword Coast Commercial Exchange may assist him in transport with its Speartop F-Series wagons. Koba and whomever the Commercial Exchange may spare at the moment may also accompany him as caravan guard. Even if he decides to travel by ship. If asked, he would vehemently deny that this is only to make sure the Hunters settle their payment for the goods.Calodan wrote:With the arrival of the supplies one would find Kory at the docks helping the inspection along and making sure the Elturel supplies are put separate of the troops supplies so as to get them out to Elturel with post haste. First thing is to get all the supplies to Elturel loaded up in the wagons and then once those have been loaded up we can speak on the cost to be paid for this. I believe I have enough on hand presently to make due on the sum of what I owe. For the full price of the goods and then also your fee for brokering the deal. I assume 10% of my goods is sufficient for the brokerage?

Retro post: Waterdeep Docks
Back in Waterdeep dock, a tenday or so, someone was eyeing the Dragon Wing from a pier.
Watching comings and goings from such a great port could be as entertaining as tiresome, but she wasn't doing it that much, more than usual these days perhaps.
Bustling by dayhours, and not realy quiet at night too, yet harbor was a good place to meditate, especially on misty mornings and dusky evenings, so it became a sort of a habit. Not fit for carrying cargo with her average built (nor willing, for that matter), she was not on regular employment to the docks either, but some knew her as having an honest trade elsewhere. Not everyone thought it to be the same as other, but she had a pleasant face and wasn't in it to cheat, though deception was a norm. This was the way for an actor, but more so for the faithful, and it served all ends. The profession was not a requirement, of course, but it was challenging and fitting.
There were minor gains from crossdressing outside the stage - an unassuming man warants less attention from other men, but the main purpose was that unfaithfull can not know all the truth of what they look at, and when they will learn some, it should be in a way that they won't know what to trust next - the sooner they accept the illusion of it all and become faithfull and privy.
But simply put, that was an inspiring practice and by it Lady granted her powers and freedom to do good, though Good was not the intention.
As always, it took no more than a walk on a pier to see what ships were on the dock this day. Talking to an occasional sailor. Watching foreigners. Now, this one - it looks like an amnian ship, which favour large holds for their cargo. But might as well be from anywhere.
As the story goes, it was purchasing healing supplies, purchasing from the same places she even knew from her priestly "career" - that means taking probably from everywhere, and in a hasty manner.
So a merchant, from the Gate they say. Interesting enough. And it was looking for crew!
Parsee was green-eyeing the ship up close. As far as she could tell, it was tidy and... rather large, actualy. She would think she'd like a slender fast ones more, but the high rounded shape was strangely alluring with promise of all that space inside and what may be hiding there. An observer could wonder while an insider knew.
Curiosity won, feeding on that pull for a change, she was feeling lately, and she found herself talking to an officer about their need in manpower and skills they sought. With dark-red hair cut short, green eyes and light complexion, dressed so to conceal certain softness, she looked organic in male clothes as to give certain impression, but not trying too much. Perhaps she simply liked being androgynous.
- ...Truth be known, sir, I am no sailor, if it's not on th' stage, - the beardless youth spoke half-jokingly after an introduction, with an accent of seafarer picked up years ago, but making a point with another half, and added normally as fit for any high class waterdhavean, - I am a magician!
Beaming a smile, she said, still in light-hearted manner, but more slowly to convey the meaning:
- Or rather a spellcaster, by divine favour of Lady of the mists, if it pleases your captain, - looking questioningly at the oficer, she followed, - They'll need to decide if they want to trust me - when there will be a follower of Leira on board, that can do divine magic and some of arcane.
Yes, there was something to consider, before she would be off to pack her bags for a journey and a change in life she was needing, at least for a while.

Retro post: off Waterdeep, a journey to the Gate
An interview with the captain followed, at which Parsee had learned something of captains's situation and their rules of conduct. Apparently, neither of which made her want to withdraw her offer. She'd know they will take her at least to Baldur's Gate if not further.
Staying clear of the cargo on the voyage South, she had much to learn of the ship workings to keep her occupied even while not having to do anything important yet. She would not avoid small talk if approached with, but mostly she was intent on seeing what others would tell of themselves by their ways, rather than words.
The ship happened to have no shortage of lodging space with lack of extra crew, but it's pitching would made things roll around and fall, and would take getting used to, as the effect on herself. Paying no mind to floors and structures moving did help, but for being unused to seafaring, it was tiring to take for long. She had enough precautions against cold weather, and what realy helped to remedy sea sickness was food.
Tasting Angel's cooking she would first show a surprise, then finaly, get tears in her eyes and exlaim that she'd never had expected sea meal to be so wondefull. While being a sort of performance, all could agree it was well earned by the cook.
When Dragonwing left port, the "red" priest(ess) could be seen dropping a handfull of various coins and candy in the waves as offering to the Sea Queen.
Not educated in running a ship, Parsee offered other such services, and when they were not needed, she could find what to do by herself, one thing being studying arcane and divine lore, another - a little help upside. As hin was polishing decks energeticaly, getting more water and changing buckets, staying out of the way, Parsee was finding no short of amusement in watching Angel work tiresly - as they say, that was among the things, like fire burning or water running, that you can watch forever.
"If we had help like this back home, with cookin' and clinin', we'd be soon famous around all of South ward..." - she commented to herself.
Tiefling features of another swabby would not bring a second glance from her, being pretty much used to that among the diverse crowd of Waterdeep. An orc on board likely would more, though, given their relationships with her people.
