A Troll Build?

Hey there! Thinking bout second character, and do you think it is possible to make a underdark perhaps, ranger with companion combat style, 4circle spells and possibility to effectively fight only under a troll shapeshift? if yes what feats would work and what should take to do so?

The issue with polymorph self, or its more powerful version shapechange, is that absolutely no items transfer. So, you're a naked character that only have spells on you. Even with an Iron Golem or Fire Giant, you're pretty weak in epic levels. With a troll? You'll barely do damage, barely hit anything, barely have any ac and all you get for it is +5 reg.

Epic disappointment then, so prolly only on my previous server that poly was buffed:< could be fun to run as a shifter that is not a druid at all
