With the new disguise feature people are able to change their names.
We would like to remind everyone that the naming rules are still in force. The use of famous names is still prohibited.
The use of anothers player's character name is also prohibited.
In the future if your rollplay toakes you to a place where you find that you may want to do so, please contact the DM team for oversight.

Re: New Disguise Feature - Names
Question!
Since I rather loath having the meta info of my characters names being available to other players by simply mousing over mine, would it be permissible to use the disguise feature to change my name to, just as an example, something like "A disheveled looking man in dirty attire" and not roleplay that as being in disguise? Or should we be using the disguise feature exclusively for wearing disguises?

That won't help as much as you think it will as people will just press "p" and scroll down to your login
Granted it would help with newer players.

Your characters original name actually doesn't change in the player list when you change it via disguise(at least as far as I tested it)Thids wrote:That won't help as much as you think it will as people will just press "p" and scroll down to your login

You can also change your name to a complete blank(by using a space) with the disguise feature. I believe it takes a little while to show up in the player chat window as a " ", and it will also change immediately if you log off and back on while in disguise mode... which could be meta-y if you get disconnected while disguised.

If both players agree to disguising as each other, for example, for the sake of a prank - is it allowed or must we petition?
(Such as Hoihe as Soora, Soora as Hoihe... or if Valefort returns, All three of us as variant of Mealir... Mealir Ostirel. Mealir Nordiel. Mealir Sudier.)
