Server Roll Back Losses
Due to recent server roll back, myself and many others have lost a lot of exp and gear. I have personally lost almost a full level of exp and an epic item. I think their should be compensation for time lost over the last few days.
Zeland Belord: High Priest of Darkhold. Servant of the Black Hand.
Merlin Majika: White Wizard of the Coast. Archmage for the Temple of Mystra.
Benton Lionheart: Dawnbringer. Faithful of the Morninglord.

No, because players were warned ahead of time that there might be a rollback and that there would be no compensations.
I lost 7k exp, but it was my own fault for choosing to grind after the patch when I knew that there might be a rollback.

We all knew from you amount of bugs that it would be a roll back. I personally lost 19000 gold from a wand recharge. It's just play money though. I voted no.

Players were clearly warned ahead of time that there could be a rollback and that no compensation would be offered. Given the state of the server on Saturday night, I chose not to play at all on Sunday and finally caught up on some of the shows that have been sitting in my DVR for the past month.

The rollback went back several days before the warning went out. Believe the rollback went all the way to 1/26 or 1/27, while the warning only went out on 1/30 or 1/31

Re: Server Roll Back Losses
Server vault was definitely backed up on 1/30. I've double checked to ensure that it was the right backup. I'm not sure how anyone would have lost several days, unless their characters did not correctly save or they are misremembering their progress.
Rollback did go back about six to eight hours pre-update, however, as only one of us can be on the server at a time. Characters were saved before Duster47 began working on the update to prevent anyone from becoming unplayable. It can take several hours to stage a large update (before the server's even pulled offline).
This same backup process will likely be repeated at our next attempt, although hopefully we will have smoothed out the rough patches and another rollback will not be necessary.

Based on my own experience, 1/30 was the day of the backup, yep. I was online when the backup was being made (there was quite a bit of lag, which was apologized for in a DM shout). It's not 'several days' of loss, though it might seem that way to some people due to timezones.

Well this is something that people will just have to take on the chin and move on. I lost a few items myself, and I got through half of the quest chain before I realized that rollback is happening. Nothing to be done about it.
On the bright side, roleplay was not rolled back, and that's the most important thing. Right?

Seems different toons were not saved properly. Don't think there is much that can be done, unless DMs say otherwise.flyingchair wrote:Yeah, my character went back to last thursday or friday when i was handing in quests, that was from level 22 close to 23, to level 21

I agree that we should just get back on the horse so to speak, let the team focus on getting the patches in.
