Disappearing Corpses

Unread post by PJtheFey »

Two times today corpses did not appear when someone died in our group. Once was mine, the other was.... Someone whose name I forget how to spell.... We both had to eat the exp setback.

Nope. the title of this thread is a bit misleading. I mean after someone dies there is no corpse on the ground to pick up.

And no I was not carrying anybody at the time of death. Nor was the other guy.

If some one casts raise dead before waiting until the deceased has finished loading in to the fuge plane, This happens. Best thing is to count to 60 then cast raise dead. Once a corpse is lost this way there is nothing to do with out DM intervention.

Similar is also happening when you take a potion the moment you recieve the killing blow. Then you actually do die, but thanks to the HP gain crom the potion, your HP go up again, not triggering the script to port you to fugue. and leave a corpse. Next time you die, you won't leave a corpse, sinde the game considers you already as dead.
This issue sometimes lead also to the fact, that Mystra sometimes want to send you to fugue, ven if you haven't been there as you logged.

Happend to me, I can confirm that. It also happens if you use healing kits.
