Mithral scale mail

There is only model for me to choose from at Maltz's sans the default one. Mind you, my character is a warlock without the medium armor proficiency and as such, can't wear regular scale mail. The armor was +1, tried with a regular one given to me by a DM with the same results. Anybody's got any idea about what's causing the issue ?

I think you have to choose the one offered by Maltz and then you can change the appearance with the regular appearance changer.

Any armor made of mithral that is enchanted can't be changed normally to my knowledge. It will require a DM to give you a normal mithral scale mail, which you will then change the appearance of, then they will have to add the +1 when you are done.

If you've read my post, you'll see that we tried exactly that with the same results, Boddy.

And NCrawler, I tried that too. Didn't help.

Well, scale mail has extremely limited looks available anyway....so.... You might be S.O.L.

Also, a few people recently taught me how to use the toolset to create a custom armor appearance. I would be happy to pay it forward and make you one for your armor. Shoot me a PM if you want and we can work out the details on skype.

That's quite alright, I wouldn't want to put you in any trouble. At least not before I get a mithral breastplate !

Thankfully (and strangely), the only available appearance was a recolored model of Ammon Jerro's armor, so I'm happy with my character's look for the time being.

You have about the first 19 or so to choose from, compared to normal scale.
