Had a conversation with a fellow pc tonight, and realized that casters can memorize/expend spells per day of energy immunity five times, or until they are immune to all elements. As this spell lasts a very long time, my suggestion is to change it akin to how other servers have handled it:
Energy Immunity can be cast multiple times, but each new casting of energy immunity replaces the current buff, so that a pc can only actively be immune to one element at a time.

Other servers do not have force orbs. There is always a way to get around those buffs and many people do not really run all of them at once. It is not really conducive to having enough other spells to unleash at that level since it does occupy a pretty decent spell level as well.

Agreed. I actually thought this was the case already until I noticed someone else applying each and every immunity back to back.

this has been brought up multiple times and shot down each time
if someone wants to use multiple spells then let them, divine and energy resistance items were removed, so trap wise they will still get hurt
and when they hit a breach trap (or hit by the spell, including mords) EI is so high on the list they will likely lose all of them
multiple uses of EI does not affect anything other than pvp most of the time, and its easily dealt with in pve cases (breach)

It's more for the favoured souls. Bigbys was the only way to have a chance. Mages will have no chance against them now making fs an even bigger fish. That is unless some of the new spells added will deal with their shenanigans.

You can defeat Favored Souls as a Wizard or Sorcerer without Bigbies, and without strange limitations like this one. Especially Sorcerer should have zero issues. not to mention sorc/wiz get mords and breach... if they are having trouble in pvp against someone with 5 EIs they should probably learn to use mords and breach
either way the main problem people complain with EIs is generally around pvp issues which is why it keeps getting shot down, there is like 0 interest to balance just because of pvp and the pve side of it has already been done
