Blast Infidel and Empower

I was wondering if Blast Infidel from the Hierophant PRC and Empower stack together. For example; Empower Inflict Wound Series.

I'm almost certain they don't. The feat automatically empowers the spells, so if you choose to empower them manually it replaces the automatic part. It doesn't stack.
