Attack Obstruction Attack Obstructed

What is this and why is it in place whether I fight in a cave or on a road or in an open field of grass or even elevated above my foe? Why is my attack being decreased? Is this why I should start BUILDING my pcs? Is this the way of telling me a cleric shouldn't begin with 14 str? Is the server not already set to hard mode, increasing foes attacks, crits and save rolls? What is the purpose, please.

I'd like to know this as well. It doesn't seem to add anything to combat except unnecessary spam and a random chance at an AB penalty every other round.

My ab went from 13/8 to 12/7 to 11/6....on a road.

"Attack Obstuction" also floats up over my Toon, just like any combat related information. And it is showing up a lot.

I have experienced that too with my my talosian drow; she wears a spear plus a heavy shield. However, with medium and small weapons it doesn't happen, so my assumption is that is caused because of large weapons. But not completely sure about this, maybe the QC team could enlighten us
