Extended client for those on steam.

I'm posting for a friend on steam who's trying to install that client to see the server list.

Is there any special way to install it for steam user? I know that for me, oldie with actual CDs, I just past it in nwn2 folder and it works. For him it doesn't.

Also.. the autodownloader always bugs out, and the files on the forum are not up to date, which makes it impossible to join the server even trough direct connect.

For him, it says "Disc can't be found" when he opens nwlauncher.exe (the ext. client).

His game is from steam, installed on C, he pasted the extended client in his nwn2 folder like he should, and when he tries to open it, it says "Can't find the disc", which is pretty weird.

Right now he managed to log on with direct connect, but of course the server auto-downloader bugs out, so it's currently impossible to join the server.

Friend is on windows 7.

Me I'm on win10. Everything works for me besides the auto-downloader.

Anyway. I guess we'll try again in a few weeks. After a few hours trying to get on it's hard to keep the little motivation we had.

I am also playing on steam....the only way i made it work was launching Nwn2 and then launching the extended client, it will recognize the game is running and work as normal.

Did you try to run the game in admin mode? ( Rightclick -> run as administrator )

I just run the "NWLauncher.exe" file that came with the extension and sits neatly in my download folder. I get a weird error message, and then start the game normally from steam. And then I'm running with extension. Works fine.
