Corpses disappearing after reset

Hi folks,

I ran into a rather disappointing situation today! A server reset got in the way of some resurrections!

While exploring the Cloakwood mines, one of our party members went down. We spent god knows how long getting his corpse to safety because we kept getting overwhelmed with spawns! So as we're near the exit, another party member goes down. Right now I'm the only one alive and carrying two corpses, but I made it to the exit.

But then... boom! Server reset time! I tried to get back to the FAI, but the server went down too fast. However, to my surprise, the corpses weren't in my inventory when I logged back in after the reset, like a minute later. To make things weirder, one player claims to not have been sent to the fugue while the other was.

So, my question: Is it normal that corpses disappear after reset? This seems really unfair to me.

The DMs will not reimburse. I know it is frustrating and unfair; but if the DMs were to reimburse you'd they'd have to help everyone out, and that is too much time allocated away from organizing events and assisting with other technical aches.

Yes, this is a limitation of the engine as it pertains to persistent worlds. best advice would be to keep an eye on the Mudd Auction as sometimes folks will sell a scroll of raise dead for around 1,000- 1,500 gold, occasionally someone might even sell a stack of 3 or more. If possible it is always a good idea for you and each of your mates to carry at least one raise scroll around even if IC you don't agree with it and would rather RP carrying them to a temple, if it is close to reset best to get somewhere relatively safe and raise them ASAP to ensure this doesn't occur.
