Question on Spirit that Walks (shaman level 20 feat)

Unread post by Rhifox »

In pnp, this feat states:
Complete Divine wrote:Spirit Who Walks (Ex): At 20th level, a spirit shaman becomes one with the spirit world. She is forevermore treated as a fey instead of a humanoid for purposes of spells and magical effects. Additionally, she gains damage reduction 5/cold iron.
The question is...

Does this mean the shaman is a fey? And if so, what would be an appropriate way of RPing it?

This is one of those feats that differs from our version. Much like favored souls not getting wings or druids not having a thousand faces (yet?), it's pretty much set aside as far as our server is concerned.

Shamans do actually get that feat in NWN2 though, unlike Wings and Thousand Faces. And it provides all the same bonuses (5/cold iron, hardiness against enchantments, Low-Light Vision), it just doesn't explicitly say that the shaman is treated as a fey. So that made me unsure on how to go about RPing it.

It doesn't change their creature type to Fey in NWN2 though.
