Character for my wife?

Unread post by FlippinFerrets »

So I finally convinced my fiancee to give this game and server a shot after about three years. She's very new to the game as a whole and has this idea for a character she would like to play. So let me lay it out for you and then everyone can show me their outlined builds that I can show her.

She would like to be either some elf ((none drow)), human or plane touched. She would like to be a ranger with ranged weapons ((bow/xbow/thrown/etc..) She would like to have a balance between her animal companion and her character. I believe she understands that buffing the crap out of her companion wouldn't likely make her a force of destruction, but she would like to be that type of character. We will be playing together nearly 90% of the time, so she'll almost always have one of my characters to help her along while she is learning.

Cross class isn't really important, but a pure ranger would probably be easier for her first character.

Thank you in advanced!

Make sure she takes the cooking skill
Wirg to Pug: "Iz lat dun?"
Pugratix to a snarky militia man: "Mmmm. Not yet. I will live for hundreds of years and be heralded as one of the greatest forces of destruction on the face of the world. The only thing you can destroy is the outhouse."

Is there any specific build you can link so that she can see it?

This isn't for me, it's so she can have a visual link to what I say.

I've never been good at planning, but I'm good at understanding.

Check out that link and be sure to add BGTSCC if you want server specific builds. With full ranger, you may not need to, though.
